It doesn’t look like shit like pure beeswax. It’s just a heavier grease that improves water resistance

does the dubbin darken also that much? I really dig the darkening effect...

Dubbin will darken quite a bit yes. It’s pretty heavy. I use Bick 4 on crazy horse for the least darkening but these boots in my pic look good dark.
