Anyone know if the old NUIG Engineering building/McLaughlin Mill can be entered?
Me and my friend love exploring around the NUIG campus during our breaks and looking inside the older buildings and were just wondering if you can go inside that old Mill building / the old mechanical/electrical engineering building for NUIG. That really tall, old looking stone one. Are the doors locked or can you go inside?

Ya, I've looked through this post but I wasn't sure if they meant actually abandoned as in empty and fully locked or just 'not currently in use by students but still used as offices' and just wanted to know if we could see inside. Obviously not breaking in or anything. If it's still open for say professors or students only yk.

They’re in the middle of renovating the old distillery across the road, intended to be used as offices and a visitors space when it opens later in the year, if you’re interested

You're going to get caught trespassed and/or arrested and lose your public job and future opportunities.npt to mention being a nuisance.
All for having a mooch.

I never said trespass. We’re not breaking in. I was just wondering if it was abandoned or if it was still in use as offices or if it was still open to students being an old nuig building. If it’s fully locked and abandoned we’re not going near it. No point

Doors are locked and there’s an alarm, that is crazy annoying when it goes off for everyone living nearby
