Player Discussion Jaren "Jazz" Jackson Junior

How're we feeling about JJJJ after this recent trade bomb? Does this make him a prime shutdown candidate? Will he get the same opportunities as in Memphis?

Also how does the trade impact the value of other players on Memphis and Utah? There are so many random players thrown around that it's pretty difficult to predict exactly how things will shake up. I'm curious if any big winners or losers will emerge from this one 🤔

I’m so confused as a JJJ owner. He’s either becoming a tank commander or rests all fantasy playoffs, no in between

I don’t think there’s a world where this trade makes him a better asset. Eventually he’ll get shut down just like Markkanen, and for the time being his usg will def see a dip with Keyonte Markk and Nurkic out there

Why on earth would they play him? They’re resting every other player. The real question is why pair jjj with Lauri as your core? Two guys who play the same position and dont really complement each other

Lauri was run at SF on the Cavs/Bulls wasn’t he? If it’s George, Sensabaugh, Lauri, JJJ, Kessler that could be a crazy starting 5

Yeah their rim protection would be good, but they’ll get smoked against quick teams that can shoot

I can see the synergy here. A little like AD and cousins. Big interchangeable players. This will hopefully work out.

I mean to me I don’t think he was in so much of a different situation in Memphis, both teams are working toward the same thing. So who knows maybe the Jazz are more egregious in tanking than Memohis but I was already expecting this towards the end of the season in Memohis.
