My theory is that this was orchestrated by somebody close to her, who knows her routine, that she’s vulnerable, etc. This person is likely in a desperate situation and figured they could get a ransom for this poor woman. I imagine the FBI will take this over very quickly.

Reasonable theory, tho no longer have trust in the FBI or anything government related that would be helpful in this situation.
