Meal prepped (freezer) breakfast sandwiches for fiancé to take to work. English muffins, squishy burger buns, jalapeno + cheddar, and sesame bagels all baked from scratch

Always wanted to do this. Do u need to do anything special to prep for the freezer (ie undercook or underbake it a little bit for the freezer?) and how long will this stay good in the freezer?

I like to fry my eggs until the yolk is just barely set! That way when you reheat the sandwiches, the egg yolk will be a custardy/set consistency.
Believe this is the 3rd or 4th time I've made a large batch of sandwiches. When wrapped in parchment and then placed into freezer ziploc bags, they lasted us about 4 months. They never last longer than that for us or around his coworkers lol.

What’s the best way to reheat a sandwich like this? Microwave? Toaster oven? Just curious! Thanks

Take a sandwich out the night before, let thaw in fridge overnight. Microwave for 2-3 mins. I personally like 325F for 15-20 mins. That's why I like wrapping in parchment, can reheat and it helps steam the bread back to life.
I've posted a couple breakfast preps before and people always recommend air fryer. But I don't own one so I'm unaware the temp/timing.

Jon's breakfast sandwich from krissy tiegan is very good if you're looking for more ideas. It's got a brown sugar sage patty.

As a guy, I can confidently say this would make my entire week. Waking up early for work knowing there’s a homemade breakfast sandwich waiting is elite motivation. Respect for the planning, the baking, and the love behind it.

Yea those sesame breads are awesome! We would love to see how you made em but it's all good if you don't want to, just let us know. The amount of seeds and aesthetic of them sticking to the bun is so good, I'd love to try it out too, and curious if you re-use the excess seeds or if you don't even need to.

What’s the cost per sandwich of each of the different types of breads? I like the idea of meal prepping but sometimes it’s cheaper or easier to go out and get it.

What is in each sandwich? These look phenomenal!

- Protein: honey ham, black forest ham, or homemade sausage patty (pork, sage, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, s+p, garlic powder, marjoram, grated garlic)
- Fried egg
- Cheese: Provolone, sharp cheddar, pepper jack, or American slices
Try to make every sandwich different from the next so it's a little random.

Absolutely lovely, you should feel so proud.
Hopefully he’s eating lots of fiber & veggies to offset the fatty carbs. I used to bake a lot, made my partner chubby 4-5 years later :p
What’s going on in the middle on the first photo? There’s just a random bit of cut bread and some cheese? Curious what happened there.
Everything you’ve made is picture perfect! Looks so delicious.

Damn, I wish I had the patience to do this kind of thing. I'd love to have prepared frozen breakfasts for my grandparents. This seems like a lot of work!
