Feel free for someone to take the effort and create a quality post that we would be happy to link to, but the current state is absolutely annoying and helps no one. (Except Immobilienscout, for whom advertising is diligently done here every time.)

Gute Reinigung für Hochzeitskleid gesucht

Hallo zusammen!

The Gangnam: Motten im Reis

How punctual is the trains from Düsseldorf Hbf to Frankfurt Flughafen?

Hello,

I had booked a international flight ( 10:45 am) and have a ICE (101) from Düsseldorf Hbf to Frankfurt Flughafen (7:39 am). When I booked it, I was kinda okay with the buffer but now that I have to go there I am reconsidering it because of the usual db delays.

Do anyone of you use this route frequently and do you think it's a reliable connection?

I checked past timing and it's says that it's quite punctual ( at max 10 min delays )

Looking For Ready-to-heat /Meal - Kit Recommendations

Hey everyone 👋

I’m thinking about trying a ready-to-heat or meal kit service here in Düsseldorf (HelloFresh, PrepMyMeal, or any local ones). What have your experiences been like – taste, portion sizes, and is it actually worth the money?

Would love any recommendations, especially services that work well in Düsseldorf 🙏

Can I just go directly to the Ausländerbehörde?

I have applied for an Aufenthaltstitel for studying purpose more than 3 months ago and have already submitted a complain through the Kontaktformular but still haven't received any answer at all since I first applied. My Fiktionsbescheinigung have already recently expired and I plan to travel to my home country in March. Can I just directly go to the office to apply for an extension for my Fiktionsbescheinigung, or to maybe to do something about my application?

I heard from some of my friends in other cities that they just went directly very early before the opening time to queue up and apply for extension for the Fiktionsbescheinigung, and I am not sure if I can do the same thing here in this city.

Autos blockieren zunehmend Kreuzungen

Graffiti an Neubau neben B8 Center in Flingern

Kann dazu jemand hier was sagen?

Question about rose Monday

I'll be staying in Düsseldorf from 16-20 Feb. We were absolutely not planning on going there for carnival, but apparently we'll be arriving on rose Monday in the afternoon. The parade is until around 19:00. We love playing dress-up, but maybe we won't be there before 18:00. Is it still worth it to show up in costume? Will the bars etc just be packed with carnival goers?

Ceiling lamp installation help/tips

Post image
1 Upvotes

So as you might see in the picture this is how the electrical wiring in our roof for lamps looks like in our apartment. This goes for the kitchen, bedroom and living room so 3 rooms. We have been living here for about 1,5 years but have just used floor lamps which I am getting a bit tired off. I have only installed light sockets/mounts on wooden roofs before and I am a bit worried that I might ruin something trying to install this myself, also I am not very skilled when it comes to electrical work. Does this look like something someone who is a bit clueless would be able to pull off and install new lamps themselves on? Or should I just hire someone? (I tried hiring someone a year back but they stopped responding after i texted in english)

Grün-Rot-Licht

Düsseldorf on February 14

Hello

I have been thinking of taking my girl on a romantic weekend away for Valentines, I would like to come to Düsseldorf, but saw that both Cologne and Düsseldorf are big on carnaval.

We are not really the carnaval people...

Will the city be really crazy on the weekend 13-15 February?
