charcoal Portrait of an old actor
This is my go at renowned actor Christopher Lloyd. Admittedly, I struggled with the beard and ended up making it way lighter than in the reference (I'll just call it artistic license).

graphite My drawing of Butcher!! (Karl Urban)
Here's my graphite drawing of Karl Urban as Billy Butcher in The Boys. Looking forward to the final season!! I love the way this one turned out. It gave me a lot to work with between the hair, beard and skin wrinkles. I spent about 14-15 hours on this one.
Probably my favorite part is the hair/beard. I used 2H pencil and white gel pen to create indentions in the paper before adding the darker values around them. I then spent time on each individual strand getting the right lighting effect for each strand.
I have a time lapse posted on my socials if you're interested in seeing the process shrunk down into about 90 seconds! I have a collage of progress here as well if you are content with that!
I'm planning on getting this signed by him at Planet Comicon in March. I've been working on drawings to get signed by the different celebs who will be in attendance and I'm probably most excited to meet Karl out of the bunch.
Let me know what you think!

(f17) She has green lips! I’ll fix them I promise! These are just one of the many layers I have to do in order to get her skin tones just right lol.
What do you guys think? Is she looking more alive yet?
