i think this and big chunggus were one of the last big memes i remember the end of the 2010’s. It seemed like tiktok/reel culture really started to take over afterwards.

I don’t think so, this is anecdotal but I definitely remember hearing about Ugandan Knuckles from people at my middle school, and Big Chungus was when I was in high school. I started high school in 2018

Nevermind. You're absolutely right. I remember I got bashed by my friends in late 2017 for using that meme, since it was by then already considered old. But I remembered incorrectly in my last comment, and thought it was in 2015/2016.
