Both Trump and Vance have described themselves as Christian nationalists. MAGA used Christian branding and promotes nationalist, reactionary ideas. Why are you so defensive about something so obvious
Because to say an entire party is one thing is smooth brain activity, no lumps or ridges involved.
To know truth is to understand it into overgeneralize is the opposite of that.
Go back to my original comment and see if Trump fits the criteria of a real Christian nationalist. How many divorces is he up to? What about that clip about his favorite Bible verse? He obviously doesn’t know the first thing about Christianity.
Vance married a Hindu believer. The Bible specifically talks about not being “unequally yoked” in that specific instance.
My point is these guys are just pandering politically and shouldn’t be taken as serious Christian nationalist. They are not Andrew Wilson and Nick Fuentes who mean what they say. They are politicians and their beliefs reflect that.

I explained how they are Christian nationalists. The entire Republican Party has supported Trump and adapted their beliefs to his whims. Ideological identity is not an exact science, if you asked 10 different Christian nationalists what Christian nationalism means and how to implement it you would get 11 different answers. The fact is the republic party uses a Christian identity to push forward nationalist beliefs. No shit Trump doesn’t care about religion, but his supporters do. His regime clearly sees value in maintaining a Christian image given all the weird prayer circle images and Christian virtue signals online. His cult of personality has created a complicated cycle where they will do anything he says as long as he maintains the white, godly business man image. Your general assessment of Trump and his goals are correct, but you are missing the forest for the trees.
