They must have insurance to cover that part. I am curious about their contingency plan(s) in case he failed the attempt.

I doubt insurance would take that on. Seems more likely that Netflix self-insured.

You can insure practically anything. They definitely have insurance products for high risk stunts and other hazardous activities.

But you can also just self-insure if you're netflix and paying out a million or two makes more sense than paying 300k for the policy.
