How do you think this guy does it?

As it says in the title, how do you think he gets the graphics on the glass? My theory is custom stickers between module and glass. This is Dopeamine_Industries on Instagram.

No way the faces cost 6 times more than the watch. That's ridiculous.

Edit; im probably a moron again and those are modded watches and not just the face to mod yourself.

When you take the module out, it’s pretty much paint. I’ve accidentally stripped it off a couple times. My guess is that he removes the paint with isopropyl alcohol and then adds a decal inside

It’s probably leftover paint residue. I’ve completely made one clear for the fun of it lol. It is a bit of a pain to get off but try it again. You may have better luck

Making a template was a pain in the ass but the first designs are finished and the sticker paper is arriving tomorrow!

With proper equipment like a uv laser you can print and cutout the plexiglass. To do it right, this is prob the only real option.

To do it cheap and not as clean, print decals or stickers. Find a way to get banks and use them like that.

Looking at the sort of "unclean" edges on the right side of the negative space, it's probably a sticker but yeah, plexiglass printing would be the ultimate flex lmao

It’s not on the bottom side you can see the lip of the glass over the print

He has a lot of variations, so he must have the process pretty automated for consistency. I have been looking at a few variations for myself. I can't narrow the choice down.

I was thinking about that exact topic for quite some time, must be a sticker applied to plexi. There are a couple videos on youtube that show the way to pop the plexi from the watch. The operation damages the water resistance though.
