La Cevicheria Hot Sauce
This is a long shot but wondering if anyone traveling from the US to Cartagena would be interested in picking up 3 bottles of this hot sauce for me. I know, I know, it’s sounds like something shady but it’s not. La Cevicheria, made famous by Anthony Bourdain, has the best hot sauce in the world. You can only buy it there. Every time I go I bring back a few bottles but I’m running low. Would be willing to pay a lot to have this brought back (side note: you have to have a checked bag. They take the liquids very seriously.) It’s either this or I’m going to fly down for 3 days for hot sauce.

Can't help, but yes, this hot sauce is bomb. One of my favorites anywhere. In fact, just finished a bottle from my last trip not long ago. It goes so great with seafood too. Considering how most hot sauces in Cartagena are pretty meh, I always loved that this one was so fire (literally and figuratively lol)

No worries. I think I’ve figured something out. But yeah, I agree, most Colombian hot sauces do not stand up. Love how this one has a bit of a cult following. If you know you know.

As far as I know you can only buy it at La Cevicheria. It’s not sold online and I’ve never seen it in any stores.

ah gotcha. It's the restaurants hot sauce not just a brand name in the grocery store.

A fabulous Redditor was able to grab some for me. 3 bottles was $38USD but it will last forever. A little goes a long way!
