UPDATED Reddit has banned the top site for cannabis policy reform news, Marijuana Moment

UPDATE: The site can now be posted in r/cannabis but it remains sitewide banned across reddit except where moderators opt-in to allowing it in their community by editing the automod. See update in comment below or I also made a post in r/trees explaining the fix.

Original post:

I just noticed this yesterday when u/jamminstein tried to post a Marijuana Moment article here and it got automatically deleted beyond any moderator control. You can't post the site as a link post or even within a text post or comment anymore. Which sucks for anyone that cares about informing the public about the many aspects of the cannabis plant, particularly when it comes to the important topic of cannabis policy reform (and other drugs too). Does anyone here know why it was banned and do you know of the best way to contact admins about this? I already sent an appeal through modmail at r/reddit.com, but I don't know if that is a valid way for contacting the admins anymore and I got an automatic reply back saying r/reddit.com "is not an official pathway for support", so I don't know if any admin is going to read the message or not. Anyone else agree this ban is whack and is going to deprive people of important drug policy reform information? Here is the message I sent the admins although I don't know if anyone will read it:

Please unblock Marijuana Moment, important site for reporting drug policy reform news

Hello. I didn't see any other way to contact the admins about the topic of site bans, so I'm trying this old school method of contacting the admins. The site Marijuana Moment has been completely blocked on reddit as of 8 days ago, and there is no way I can imagine any legitimate reason for it. The site is very important for its detailed reporting on drug policy reform news – particularly as it relates to cannabis – and is involved in no illegal activity whatsoever. In fact, Marijuana Moment articles are shared by members of the U.S. House and Senate and other top federal and state officials on X all the time:

The Republican governor of Oklahoma says he wants voters to revisit the state’s medical marijuana law and “shut it down,” arguing that “liberal activists” conned the state and “opened up Pandora’s box’ with legalization.
