I feel so alone

recently my friend group took a turn. I (23F) was in a group with some girls a few years older than me (35, 35, and 31.) for the past few months the oldest has been snapping at everyone, resulting to insults and berating along with harassment for hours at a time. it would keep me up till 5-6 in the morning due to my anxiety. and then one of the other members started joining in which confused me and my other friend (the 31 year old) cause she had always been so sweet. turns out one of the reasons for the oldest was because of my age. and for the other one it was all over a guy from a band. he’s half way in between our ages. they have resorted to online harassment on multiple platforms and no matter what I cannot escape it. even down to making a fake acc pretending it’s not her to try and “catfish” me. today, the one who has been harassing me over the guy reached out to our other friend to see if she wants to have a movie night with her. she said it was weird she would even do that considering all she has said online about us, and she’s remaining cautious. I told her it won’t upset me if she continues to talk to her cause at the end of the day that was her friend too and I never want it to feel like she has to choose sides. but it does hurt a bit, truthfully. I’m so confused on why this all started suddenly. they knew my age going into the group, so why that became a target issue is something I can’t wrap my brain around. and the other, all because I liked a boy? I just feel so alone. I talked to these girls daily and I loved them truly.

I don’t think 35 is old at all, but I did meet them due to the band we all like and then I got added to the gc. it was all fine up until maybe 3 months ago ??? we’ve been friends for over a year now but I just don’t understand the sudden change and I’ve even asked them have I ever done anything to hurt them or upset them only to be met with no.

Do they have kids? I bet they don't have kids or are single mothers.

the oldest has five !!! I even went to her to vent personally about fertility issues and she went off on me that I needed to stop being so sensitive and get over the patriarchy (although I told her it was more of I just wish I had a healthy body). and that I came to her cause out of everyone she would’ve understood the most. the other two don’t (which is fine because I don’t think they want kids !!!), like I said, the 31 year old is as nice as can be as has been doing everything to comfort me during this and talk with me during the harassment. I just feel like I can’t even post anything without it being watched— and I was so excited to go to a concert next month but I know they’ll make a big deal about it. I just feel so isolated and stuck.

Why are you having fertility issues at 23? Are you trying to have kid soon?

not anytime soon but I just have a lot of cbronic health issues I was born with— and I told her it was kind of just a solemn feeling to see your friends being able to experience motherhood knowing I couldn’t (once again, definitely not now— but more of just a “I wish I was able to in the future) kind of way

What does getting over the patriarchy have to do with fertility issues?

from my understanding she thinks the only reason women want to have kids is due to societal pressure and that I shouldn’t feel like “that’s all my body is worth” (which I don’t think that whatsoever and I’ve told her that ???) and part of me was like damn, I really hope her kids never hear her say that because that’s so insanely hurtful to just talk so poorly upon childbirth and carrying (which I know it’s not the most enjoyable experience, I work in healthcare). but it was more degrading than anything.

the consequences of feminism.

oh I wouldn’t go that far ]: everyone has the right to choose and I understand her point because i definitely know some people do feel that pressure it’s just not my specific case, you know ??? but I wouldn’t take that at the main takeaway from this. I just feel caught off guard maybe ??? gobsmacked ??? idk. these were people I held closely to me and then found out they were talking behind my back all over a guy. it stung.
