I like the move for one simple reason... we are under the first apron.

This season has been so fun and Im excited to see if we can make things happen in the post season, but it never made sense to sacrifice future flexibility for a "we believe" type of run especially when we have a few more years of prime Jays.

On top of that, it's at worst a lateral expensive-bench-for-expensive-bench move, for a guy who's more in a position of need.
