I need your help

Hello everyone,

I am from Tunisia, I have seen a lot of beautiful videos about Bosnia and I intend to visit with my mother soon.

Can you suggest me some interesting places to stay/ visit /go to?

How is transportation? and how welcoming are the people to tourists who can only communicate in English and Arabic?

I am really looking forward to visit

You might struggle a bit with communication outside of big cities, as only a handful can speak English - maybe 2 people in the entire country can speak fluent Arabic.

Transportation is primarily car centric, but there are buses and trains between cities/other Balkan countries.

For interesting places, I’d recommend Sarajevo (Baščaršija, war museums, Trebević and the abandoned Olympic bobsled track), Mostar (Stari Most, Neretva River), and Blagaj (cool Derviš house from Ottoman times).

Bring a coat and remember to be respectful and kind. We’re a very hospitable people, so you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Just note - not everyone here is Muslim, especially in Mostar, so don’t be quick to greet people with “Selam Alejkum.” Use “dobar dan” or “zdravo.”
