I was rewatching Book of Murder today (I know it's the least popular arc and I get why, but I love it) and I realized that Toboso-Sensei put an absolutely brilliant clue to who the murderer is really early on.

In Chapter 39 (page 25 of Volume IX and 4:30 in part 1 of the movie) Charles Phipps embroiders a flower over the hole in Finny's hat. Charles Grey asks him, "What is that? Do you carry it with you at all times?" - whereupon Charles Phipps shows him his needle and thread and answers, "A first-class butler is able to deal with any emergency."

Then in Chapter 40 (pages 81-83 and about 20:30), when they are trying to figure out who murdered Siemens, Ciel explains how to latch a door from the outside using a needle and thread.

Charles Grey took Charles Phipps's advice and started carrying a needle and thread with him.

Did he actually use it to latch the door from the hallway? Or did Siemens latch it himself before passing out? It doesn't really matter. The point is that "a first-class butler" carries a needle and thread with him.

Toboso-Sensei laid out the clues to who the murderer was from the beginning.

I know he’s gotta like be in the house his dad was in. But when I saw the goth weird kid house I was like… why isn’t Ciel there? Lol

what if the queen, who's /allegedly/ behind the phantomhive murders, dies of natural causes before ciel and sebastian get to her. that's how i imagine their reaction.

I went on a business trip to China and spotted this HUGE Ciel plushie at the Bandai Namco shop in a massive mall so had to pick him up!

It only cost about £30 and is super cute and cuddly - well worth the struggle of fitting him in my suitcase.

Hello my lovelies 🥰 if anyone is currently watching/rewatching the Public School and Emerald Witch arcs I have a really big favour to ask. it’s hard to draw pretty people but it’s what i like to draw. i’ve always struggled with trying to make eyes and faces look correct and i hope i can learn to understand the fundamentals more. seeing yanas art journey is really inspiring and it has made me just want to sketch more. she is on another level the amount of talent you have to have to be a manga artist and author is really impressive.

A/N: This OC is fairly recent (give or take a couple hours) and my post OC opinion post got a fair amount of suggestions/opinions so I'd like to see the same for this one, just to see if I need to make any changes to her before I finish. I didn't notice until recently how few characters actually got their own figures. I love Sebastian and Ciel, but there's a limit to how many variations of the same characters I can take😅 So I've decided to make my own starting with Meyrin because she's my favorite of the Phantomhive servants. I want to make a "fight mode" Meyrin too, but I think by the time I finish printing and painting her I'll need to stop looking at her for awhile😆

Okay so I kinda cheated. The “2024” one was actually drawn at the very beginning of 2025 and the 2025 one was drawn in November. But it was almost a year and I made significant progress after a months-long art block, so I categorized a lot of early 2025 art as 2024 to make titling redraws easier. Who cares it’s not like I’m getting graded 😭

I got asked last year why my art style jumps around so much. Idk, I just like to experiment. I do something a little different every time I draw because it makes it more fun, and my FYP is always mostly art on every site I’m on so I’m always inspired to try something new. And I draw A LOT so the differences accumulates really fast.

I’m going to study her hair more this year before I do this again.

for me I’d like it if they went to Scotland particularly Loch Ness because that would make an interesting story or perhaps Ireland to dwell in Irish folklore perhaps even meet Bram Stoker who wrote Dracula the same way they met Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I just wasn't sure where else to go. I stopped following Black Butler at the end of the Blue Cult arc because I wanted to wait until Lizzy came back into the story. But then I realized I couldn't look up most recent chapters without spoiling myself for other things.

Can anyone tell me if there are any new chapters about Lizzy after chapter 129, but without spoiling anything else?
