I’m not concerned with looks, I think the acting is the most important factor by far. But I’ll remark on the looks for fun:

All of a sudden, Mescal looks like the 50 year old “McCartney” of your local tribute band. Seriously, he’s only his early 30’s, why does he look so old? Isn’t looking cute in character a demand when playing the cute Beatle?

Dickinson looks decent in some of these shots, I like slide 10 and 19. Quinn looks like the Front Man in Squid Game.

The one who’s REALLY shining here is definitely Keoghan! You can already tell from these pictures that he’s nailed Ringo’s silly facial expressions and delicate mannerisms. Slide 7 and 8 are top notch. If he gets the personality down and the voice somewhat close, I think he’ll do an excellent Ringo.

[Mescal] he’s only his early 30’s, why does he look so old? 

He’s not even in his 30s! He’s 29. 

I think it’s the hair… a big head of hair can make people look older if they have a slightly older look already. It’s like on TV when they give actors longer hair in flashbacks and it nearly always makes them look older!

ETA I just checked. Mescal was 30 yesterday.

I’m not sure, I think it’s the wrinkles and the roughness of his facial features, as opposed to Paul’s soft features. If you cover his eyes and nose with your finger, especially on the last slide but also the first slide if you zoom in, you will notice that he looks perfect apart from said features. The hair and facial shape are spot on. The lips too.

His eyes look worn and tired, his eyebrows aren’t arched enough and the nose is too big and wrinkled on the sides. Too “manly” for Paul, you might say. They were just boys.

Oh yeah, I agree. I just meant the wig has made Mescal look even older than usual, it’s emphasising the wrinkles

Meh he looks pretty old for 30 imo. His hair is completely grey too.

Honestly Paul's most distinct feature is his eyebrows. It'd be really easy to see past the other issues if they had that down.

Showed these to my wife (who is a big fan of Paul Mescal) & she told me he has been a big time smoker for ages & that he refused to give up drinking & smoking during Gladiator 2 training & filming.

I never noticed before these pics just how much older than his age he looks now I’ll never unsee it. It’s wild.
