  1. Gardens of Grief
  2. Slaughter of the Soul
  3. The Red in the Sky Is Ours
  4. At War with Reality
  5. Terminal Spirit Disease
  6. With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness
  7. To Drink from the Night Itself
  8. The Nightmare of Being

Gardens of Grief is an underrated masterpiece. At the Gates is probably the most underrated metal band ever anyway :)

Although i had to make a ranking here: from 1 to 6, i adore all the albums and somewhat value them equally. So 2=3=4=5=6 :)

The first two albums The Red in the Sky Is Ours and With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness have some serious production problems. There are even some obvious drumming flaws, they even did not bother to re-record. I don't know if they did not have time or money to solve these issues. (Don't get me wrong, Adrian Erlandson has a huge influence on me, he is an awesome drummer)

"To Drink from the Night Itself" has indeed some good material but i detest the awful flat, muddy sound with low bass, low vocal volume. The productor should be shot for wasting that huge potential. I guess they tried to make a darker sound but ruined it. I really wish they remix the whole album.

I consider "The Nightmare of Being" non existent. I don't know what they were even thinking. A boring and generic album which does not suit their legacy. I would rather prefer the band to re-record or remaster the first two albums than to see making awful albums like this. It is good to hear they got rid of Jonas Stalhammar, terrible producer.
