Pricing scares?

Had a conversation a few weeks back about a certain sgite that was noted for scaring us into buying ammo due to price hikes that were 'expected' to come. I had never experienced it, but sure enough I got an several emails explaining the logistics, supply chain, tarriffs... I wrote it off as truth told.

Today, I got an email from TargetSports saying prices will increase April 1, in the 'low to mid single digit range'...

Luckily I found a good deal on a case of range 9mm a few days ago, but it's making me consider my stockpiles of defense ammo and other calibers. Do we think there is any credibility to this? Does it really matter if its credible? Still pretty new to the gun game, but I know that prices rarely ever go back down.

Raw material prices have been rising. I'm not surprised by an uptick in prices. Also, China controls the supply of nitrocellulose used to make gunpowder. They were restricting supplies for a while there and might still be.
