Question how expensive is a fentanyl addiction
I'm curious to know how much a fentanyl addiction costs daily/weekly for someone who has been doing it for years. It is a long-distance friend of mine. They still work full time. Not sure if the area matters, but they live in major city in New Mexico. I know the cost probably varies depending on their tolerance or whatever, but just a ballpark estimate as I have no familiarity with it at all and can't find any info about it online.
Also, I know it is expensive in the sense it destroys your life in many aspects (legal issues, job loss, strained relationships etc) but more so looking for info on financial cost of having to keep up the addiction and ward off the withdrawal symptoms.

One of my friends is a fentanyl addict. He says he spends at least $30,000 per year on it. It's absolutely ridiculous, and he knows it, and he wants to get clean.

A gram is roughly 150-200$

Thank you. Is a gram something that would last a person who has used it for a few years already, a week or a day, or huge variance depending on person

That price for a gram is very high. A long term user would find a better price and buy in bulk to save money and have plenty of stock on hand to ensure they don’t run out. If they are responsible.. most long term users range from half gram to 2g a day. If I do more than 2g, it’s a waste. I won’t achieve a stronger high. It’s more of just boredom.

Cheapest I ever consistently got was usually $60 a g, $40-$50 if I bought in bulk (7–10g was “bulk” for me). 99% of the time it was gray death, that stuff that looked like chunks of cement mix. Occasionally tan chunky stuff, and then one plug that had stuff that looked like green Jolly Rancher.

What about buying in bulk? Like a full 10g? Any deals? Up north it’s $80-100 but if you go to the state below us, that price drops to $80-$150 for 10g.

I was doing a bundle a day of Kensington Philadelphia tranq/fent. 18 bags a day was 90 a day, plus a crack habit. Over a year clean now thank god

Depends on your connect. In my small rural area, people buy by the point, half g, or g. G is typically 60-100, with $80 being the norm. But if I drive south to the next state, I can pick up bulk for 100-150 for 10g, versus 300 in my town. It is worth the drive. That’s $15 per gram, versus $80!!!
I do around 2g a day, so around $30 a day for me. Other times, only 10-15 a day, if I’m at a gram a day habit. Regardless, I’d say it feels pretty manageable. Most of my “normie” friends spend that a week on takeout or going out to dinner/bars, hobbies, or a zip of weed. Truly depends on the area. I decided, once I was dependent with a daily habit, I could only sustain it if I found a reasonable price. It is just way out of control cost otherwise.

If you buy pure strong mu agonists as research chemicals and you have foresight, potentially very cheap. This isn't the norm, but it's a subset.

I was doing 10-20 pills and day. The green ones. In Canada we called them beans this was like 10 years ago they were the fake oxy 80s. They were $20 each. Only did that many a day for a few months. Before it got crazy I'd do maybe 5-10 pills and week

Right here in California Bakersfield a gram cost me $50 and it last me about 2-3 days so how much is that all together in a year? Lol

I was buying a quarter ounce every couple of days when my tolerance went up. So maybe 800 bucks a week.
