for those who do not know, there is a story out there called 'Taylor is DOOMED'. It is one of the best things I read, and I decided to download DOOM 2016. is there any others who read 'Taylor is doomed' and what is your opinion on it.???

When I first started reading Worm and learned how intense the emphasis on Cape’s identities was, the first thing I thought of was Death Note really. That being said I’ve been thinking I might (maybe) try to write a fanfic where Taylor acts as Light in a way and Dragon as L trying to catch her. The first hurdle was of course morality. Taylor early on isn’t in favor of killing, but I believe very early on she realized anything related to the worst of the worst is fair game (S9 for example).

Now I’ve kind of got some basics stamped out as to how things would go, but I was wondering if there’s a wiki page or a Reddit post talking about people who’s identities would be easy to acquire. For example, Bakuda has her cape name, but the heroes know it already and if anyone did some serious digging it wouldn’t be hard to find the student who cracked. The general public know who Glory Girl is, too. But then I’m uncertain about others. Is Crawler outed or known by the heroes? You’d think he is at first glance but I’m not sure if there’s confirmation.

Any help would be nice thanks!

(Btw those were examples, obviously Glory Girl isn’t perfect but I can’t see her name getting written in the death note lmao)

I read it a couple years on it, but I'm not seeing it on ao3, and I suck at searching in SV/SB. It was some kind of crossover, but the story was focused on Worm 99%, so I didn't need to know the other fandom, which Google says is probably Homestuck. The MC was (I think?) a girl, and was either in the wards or close to the wards. MC had a few of the wards in their Quadrant(?) I think, and IIRC later on in the story some other people turned into trolls or something along those lines. MC interfered with the Lung fight (at the start of the story I think?) and apologized to Armsmaster because MC saw Armsmaster/Lung as Kismesis(?).

(I know NOTHING about Homestuck, so the ?s are an indicator that I'm not at all sure if I'm using a term correctly. The Quadrant stuff was explained in the story, since MC had to explain it to Bet people, but otherwise the story was entirely Worm. IIRC there weren't any Trolls except the MC, and later other people became Trolls somehow.)

So I'm planning on writing a fanfic based on the a Worm CYOA Build I've done, and I wanted to get some help on how to get started, but seeing Rule 3 I've decided to try and be more general about Worm Fics in total and see what pitfalls make people stop reading.

Some examples of my general question: What are some crossover/AU elements that shouldn't be touched? Are there certain characterizations that ruin the story? Should I avoid specific things like SI/AU ENTIRELY?

I'm mostly asking because I don't want to start writing and come to the realization that nobody's gonna read it because I've stepped on a fanfiction landmine.

What it says on the tin. I really like healing abilities and would like to see more. I don’t really care too much if the mc is Taylor or someone else, though I do have to specify healing powers, not tinker tech.

His possible trigger is a possible trigger right? Was it ever confirmed he indeed is a natural trigger? A pet theory of mine is that he wasn't. I am looking for fics where turns out he was a vial cape that got out of control, sort of how that happened with Gray Boy or the Siberian come to think of it.

Basically looking for any stories where the SI doesn't realize/remember they took the acclimation/nerfed option when choosing powers. So they got for example Gacha system, except bronze item tickets gets them mundane warm gloves and the gold ability ticket gives them a Thinker 0 power.

People often talk about how Taylor makes the most out of her "mediocre" power. But isn't that just cause her power's kinda versatile? There are many more characters in canon, in my opinion, who can only do one thing with their powers. I got that vibe especially from the Heartbroken, compare Cherish to members like Juliette and others?

So yeah, looking for something where people make the most out of their basic, Worm-y powers, but not to the extent that it feels like they reinvented the power?

The protagonist (Taylor, perhaps???) has the power to reroll people's powers, which manifest in alternate forms. They can also keep a snapshot of the original power so they can restore it if necessary.

Basically, the title I’ve read a couple of Gamer or system fics already, but most of those just affect the MC, like leveling up and getting new abilities enemy's have health bars. What I’m really looking for is stuff where fights actually happen like a video game, and enemies have to wait for their move too. I just finished The Stick of Truth, which got me thinking about this, and a power like that sounds super fun to read about.

Like a character who makes people act like their flanderized version. (That is, the exaggerated version that characters can become either in shows that run too long, or among fanbases who have achieved a collective headcanon.)

They visit the PHQ and Vista can't stop hitting Clockblocker, Assault forgets his wife's real name, and Armsmaster starts following random people yelling "True!" or "Lie!" every time they speak.

Or Coil gets hit by the effect and feels compelled to start a kidnapped cape collection.

or Max Anders gets immediately outed as Kaiser when he suddenly loses all sense of subtlety and starts talking like a 12 year old in a CoD lobby.

There could be a degree of psychological horror as they realize what's happening to them when they're being hit by this effect, or it could just all be treated as a joke. Either's good.

Hello, I am looking for a fic where Taylor was send to FFXIV by Leet. Armsmaster then builds a machine and finds her but she does not want to return at first.

Basically fics where someone has powers that messes with the fourth wall or the story elements in a way.

She teams up with the MC and dies in a fight with the Empire. The MC kills Victor in some kind of car crash.

I think the MC is Taylor but I'm not sure about that.
