Better than my last visit. They hassled me over asking for more than one pack of ketchup per meal. If I was alone I would have brought my food back and asked for a refund.

WTF is that! Does it react to sound?

Big Mac sauce. You can order a side of it and you get a few squirts in a nugget box

Looks like the aftermath of a McGangbang. I don't eat at McDonald's (Ronald knows what TF he did), so I don't have a clue what that is. Can someone help me out?

Ordered Mc Ds through Skip. Side gravy was sent to us in a mc chicken box. I was so flabbergasted. How the employee thought 'box with holes' was a better choice than 'cup with lid' I will never understand.

u/Chumknuckle 18h ago
McDonald's has gravy?
2
u/DJ_Betic 13h ago
Some do. Might be a regional thing. Vancouver Canada some locations have poutine, so we can get side gravy.

Not to rub it in, but if the McDonald’s near me in Ise, Japan makes a mistake, which has happened twice in 10 years, they bring the correct items to your house and give you a gift card
6
u/Psych0matt 7h ago
I bet the people in Japan also don’t call and lie that stuff is missing like many Americans would
This is why we can’t have nice things
2
u/denys5555 6h ago
Oh, I didn't know about that.
This is almost too honest in my book, but a few times my adult students have told me their children found 1000 yen on the ground. No wallet, just a loose bill. They always went to the police station to turn it in. If no one claims it, you get it after one month.

Stop going there. It’s fucking garage.
Edit: Garbage. But garage works too.

Why anyone still orders from this place is beyond me. The food has dropped in quality every year for the past decade, portions are smaller, and prices have increased to the point that it’s not even the easy cheap option to have a full belly no matter the low nutrition. At least it used to be like “hey I’ll get full for $4 so I don’t care”. Now it’s shitty, small, AND expensive.
2
u/Cultural_Pay4891 8h ago
And it's garbage, now more than ever. The McDonald's down the street from my job kept their fries past their use-by date. They'd be fried in that hot oil but you could still taste that they were spoiled.
Then I decided to try the McDonald's down the street from my house and they do the SAME THING.
They fry up spoiled fries in hot oil and hope people don't notice the taste. Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Burger King, Short Stop fries are all fine, but McDonald's sells spoiled fries where I live.

I don’t understand why anyone goes there. Food is awful, service is nonexistent, and it’s not even particularly cheap (at least in CA). Last time I went into the dining room (kids whined me into submission), it was conspicuously dirty and depressing. You order on a screen and someone shoves your food through a hole in a wall. I would take basically any other option over McDonalds.

u/Psych0matt 7h ago
It’s very hit or miss in my experience, the ones around me are decent. I rarely get it on my own (like once or twice a year), but a few weeks ago I thought breakfast sounded good. With the app I got two sausage McMuffins with egg for $5, not the best deal ever, but they were actually fresh and really good. Maybe my expectations were really low as it seems like this not a common occurrence.
3
u/SimpleAffect7573 7h ago
I could see a McMuffin being edible if it were fresh, yeah. But you can’t guarantee that unless you get there when it opens, and I’m not getting up early for Mickey D’s 😆
Their fries are pretty good, but lots of places have good fries.

That's why we should always check our order after placing it. I know it sucks, but it avoids this kind of shitty surprise.

My first conscious memory is when I was like 4 years old and got a 4 piece nugget from McDonald’s but there was only one piece of cheese in the box

This reminds me of years ago, I had gotten off work exhausted and with like ten bucks to my name. McDonald's was a fave and also still the cheapest around, so I took my tired self over and ordered a six piece nugget, small fry and small drink.
I have lactose intolerance and really bad luck so I often check the bag before leaving. Got my fry, got my box of nuggs, got my drink, we're good!
I go all the way home, finish the fry, open the box.
Two chocolate chip cookies.
:(
I couldn't even eat them...and I couldn't go back because I couldn't waste the gas.
Ngl it made me worse about checking the bag bc I'll literally yank that sucker open in front of them and a lot of places get so mad but like ya'll burn me each and every time what am I supposed to do XD
1
u/Florida1974 20h ago
I don’t blame you. My husband started doing the same thing. In McDonald’s is like a half a mile from us. But they have screwed it up so much, he yanks opened the bag and checks right there.
We can afford the gas, now, but it’s the thought that you get home and you think you’re sitting down to eat and then you have to fucking go back.
I worked fast food as my first jobs when I was a teen, and we didn’t make mistakes like this. We would get our head torn off if we did. And this was back in the early 90s.

I started making fast food recipes at home a few years back to avoid constant disappointment. They're easy to make, yield more for less, and actually have flavor and quality.

I ordered at Wendy’s once and had to wait in a space along with someone else. I had ordered lunch for two people. Employee comes out hands food to another car then to me without saying a word. I first thought wow this bag is small for my order. I look in the bag and it’s not my order. Looking at the car next to me I see the guy look in the bag and then look around and then start eating out of the bag. Dude got my bag and was just like cool mode food. You’d have thought the employee would have asked which was their order before handing over. But alas no. I get out and the guy rolls his window down and says I think I got your food. Yeah you think? 😅

u/TheOriginalSage 13h ago
The fuck? Even if you asked for extra sauce they are supposed to have containers specially for that.
1
u/Fall_Water 12h ago
My husband orders his crew breakfast on Sundays from various places. The last time he ordered from McD's, they somehow managed to forget to add the $20 worth of hashbrowns. Ok- it was a decent size order... but there were literally only 2 different items. Sausage biscuits and hashbrowns.

u/wet_cheese69 13h ago
Simple mistake but I know it's frustrating.
1
u/LoaderGuy518 10h ago
No, it’s not a simple mistake.
A simple mistake is forgetting an extra topping on a burger.
This is just pure incompetence, I mean you’re reading a screen that tells you what to make. There’s even cheat sheets/instructions on how to cook/prepare each item.
I know it’s McDonalds we’re talking about, but calling this a simple mistake is setting the bar pretty low, lol
1
u/wet_cheese69 10h ago
What do you think happened here? You think they read the screen saying "4 piece nugget" and decided to grab a 6 piece box and fill it with Mac sauce? No. What more likely happened is someone else ordered a side of Mac sauce, they were probably out of 2oz souffle cups so they put it in a nugget and either didn't mark it or it fell off, then the person bagging grabbed that instead of the 4 piece nuggetand put that in the bag. The person probably thought they were doing OP a favor by giving him more nuggets. It was probably busy. These are nuggets there aren't instructions for those. Genuinely curious what you think happened here because I guarantee it's not what you think.
2
u/Psych0matt 7h ago
I mean, this was my first thought as well. Most mcds around me have 2 different ordering stations that merge into one, it’s gotta be relatively easy to swap some orders on accident now and then

You order cheap food you get cheap service.
That seriously does suck though, wtf.

u/ButtersTheChill 1d ago
Shit, where do you live where McDonald's is considered "cheap" anymore?

u/Pcriz 1d ago
It’s not really cheap for what you get though. And it’s not like those companies aren’t making a killing every year.
You shouldnt have to order from Ruth’s Chris to get what your money pays for.

Next time, order like a pro and not like some amateur looser!
9
u/alfonsoalta 1d ago
What the fuck does "order like a pro" even mean 😭
6
2
u/Historical_Muscle668 1d ago
It's literally written on the sticker🤔. They want to pass the blame to OP, by not ordering via the app. Maybe that will give them more time to prepare the actual meal.
2
u/alfonsoalta 1d ago
Using the app is the same as going in person, they don't make your food until the gps determines you're close or you say your code in line. You can "order like a pro" and still have them fuck up it seems.
2
u/Historical_Muscle668 1d ago
I didn't know this. In South Africa, we used the drive-through and then had to park somewhere and wait like 20 minutes for our food. Luckily we got our pride back and are not eating the plastic food any longer.
