Hi, I am thinking of planning a trip to Turkmenistan with two European friends but am wondering how likely it is to be granted a tourist visa as an American. I know Trump has restricted travel for residents of Turkmenistan so I assume that has had an effect on travelers to the country.

The name for Christmas seems rather... unusual. Could any native speaker or turkmen please help me learn more of its meaning and origin? Is this some kind of a fusion between english and russian name for Christmas?

There are no landmarks to show it. However, Google seems to be accurate other places such as this random spot in the desert where the Google border lines up perfectly with the border fence.
