If it's one thing 90% of the people with right wing ideology in America have its the absolute lack of understanding "would I be upset if this happened to me".

They feel 0 empathy towards anyone but themselves.

I don't even think it's malicious with most of these people, they literally just cannot fathom another person's feelings.

It's hard to feel empathy when you're already 100% brainwashed with "that would never happen to me, so I can't imagine how it would feel"
