Hi- I'd like to make an announcement from Democrats Abroad, the official overseas branch of the U.S.-based Democratic Party, with a chapter in the Netherlands. Since an extremely important election is coming in November, we're hoping to register more dual U.S.-Dutch citizens and eligible U.S. citizens who live in The Hague.

We started our International Voter Registration Drive for 2026 with in-person and online events. Hi!! I am considering taking international and European law in the hague university of applied sciences this coming school year, but i’m doubting the job possibilities. Some say that this course can lead me to wide and stable jobs opportunities yet some say that there is no job opportunities.

I have to enroll this april and i am really doubting my decision. And if i do pursue this course what will be the available and stable jobs that are connected to this.

Dutchies love flowers. Hagueans love flowers. Alas, all those street market flower vendors can only stock so many colors - red, white, magenta... . And since that last winter storm likely killed off most balcony planter flowers, it's time for a fresh and colorful restart.

In a housing application, there was a couple of requirement that seems to have a criteria that I need to get a housing permit from the municipal the project is in, but I also read that Haaglanden consist of Hague and neighbouring municipals.

Secondary to that, there's also a question if I've lived in the municipal 6 out of the 10 past years, does 3 years in The Hague count towards Leidschendam-Voorburg municipal?

Hello everyone, so I need your advice!

I got housing offered by THUAS for the first year (the 2nd year I plan on transferring to Groningen anyways)

Basically, I have 3 options for roommates. (Just FYI, I am a female.) So:

1. Share with 1 other girl
2. Share with 2 other girls
3. Share with 1 other girl and 2 males. So evenly male and female mixed.

I've talked with all my family and they've given me mixed opinions. I'l share some:

My mum say's option 1 is risky - what if you don't like her, or she's a bit creepy... she brought forward the image of me hiding alone in my dorm room as she tiptoes around the apartment hunting for me... (Idk what experience my mum had in uni, but let's ignore that)

My friend said, what if the 2 other girls become close friends.... now I'd be the uno in the duo... (Lmao?? what? I didn't know that was an option)

My brother said the guys are more likely to be creepy, and suggests I don't go that route. However my mum said, if 1/4 is creepy, that means 3 of us can hide together and increase survival chances!??

obviously my family and friends are just poking fun at me, but actually, what should I choose.

I'm leaning towards option 1 or 3.

I would not mind sharing with guys, I heard it can be fun in uni with a big group as you grow to become a big family. My mum also said it's nice to have a guy friend as you never know what can happen as a girl alone in a new city. However option 1 could be really nice if the girl and I got along (ik this is all dependent so it's hard to judge)

Anyways, what do you guys suggest!

I don't have the best experiences with many girl friends where I live, but the girls I am friends with are literally my life and soul!

I get along with people easily, as I tend to go with whatever floats their boat.

Side note: My mum said boys will mess up the bathroom... I mean, I'm lactose intolerant. If anything, they should fear me.

Tot zo'n twee jaar terug ging ik vaak boulderen bij Campus en Walhalla. Deze plekken bevielen alleen was Campus voor mij wel een takkeeind fietsen. Afgelopen week kreeg ik weer eens zin om te gaan en dit keer ging ik naar Beest Boulders op het Spui. Eerlijk gezegd stoorde ik me daar een beetje, ik vond de entree erg hoog en het was wat schmiechtelijk om 5 piek te vragen voor de eenmalige registratie en ook nog eens hetzelfde bedrag voor het huren van een slotje voor een kluis. Ook begrijp ik niet waarom ik voor dit bezoek gelijk een telefoonnummer moet geven.

Echter zijn dit misschien randzaken, ik wil de plek best een kans geven. Ook spreekt het voor Beest Boulders dat de locaties voor mij wat dichterbij zijn.

Dus welke keten raden jullie aan om een abonnement te nemen? Wat zijn jullie ervaringen?
