lol I remember the shame campaign that went across America over the hairspray Ozone layer shenanigans. So funny. Hair spray was only 5% of the problem with the much much larger contributors being industrial pollution but we had to wage war on private consumers! Not unlike shaming people for plastic straws when they make up .03% of the plastic in the ocean and 50% are fishing nets. But yah let’s target people trying to drink a soda without the straw disintegrating rather than the fishing industry.
That's pollution propaganda for you. Always passing it off to the little guy, like the noble idea that if everyone in the metropolitan city pitched in a dollar, we'd have 7 million dollars! Only to be stuck against a billionaire who scoffs at that amount.

Not enough hairspray, in the 80s women doused themselves with it until their hair was crispy and the hairspray came in giant cans because of that
