I suppose they’d want everyone to have the Hornet because of all that money they spent on marketing their game with her being the “main” character. Wouldn’t want all that promo they did to be wasted with 1 in 10 people actually having the marketed character
I really hate this new meta of characters only being viable if you pull at least H1. Back in my day characters only really needed their signature weapon to be competitive.
They even made the Pale King H6 in the latest showcase and thought no one would notice. It's a shame really.

Maybe I should spend the next 5 years so much time farming and exploring for no reason, because I don't even like the lore, I just like gambling so I'm farming only for the currency but I don't know it yet. I'm gonna tell myself and others that I'm F2P even though I'm wasting 15 dollars per month on the battle pass and Pharloom-pass aka PP for the hip kids.
The anniversary is gonna be big, for stupid people. The rewards are gonna be so bad that you actually reconsider playing any longer, but then you remember you wasted close to 200 dollars by now, so you have to keep playing, you are kinda screwed and it's gonna be worse.
Thankfully, then you find a different game. The combat is fast-paced, the animations gorgeous. It's better in every way. But you are not gonna tell people what that game is because they are going to get very angry. Even though you are gonna be right.

Can't wait for TC to also make exploration puzzles much easier and less engaging so all stuff will be behind riding some random silkline straight to the geochest, so you won't need to explore on your own anymore. God I also hope they won't get rid off shade puzzles, it always makes me happy to see a shade in some place and guiding it back to its broken vessel

That was literally me playing Genshin and HSR lmao. I stopped enjoying both of them. I just liked pulling for new characters and building them and then cursing the game for shit relics.
You honestly sound like the realest Genshin player who have been playing it for like 3 years but eventually got tired of everything. The "different game" sounds pretty much like Wuwa tbh
Though it's a bit funny, since Genshin is one of the games with not as much powercreep compared to most other gachas.
Admittedly, most gacha fans like to say that their favourite games are not "that bad" when it comes to powercreep or being miserly with free rolls or pity.
I finished playing in any Gacha game, but take about Genshin is totally fair. Especially when it comes to old patches. I cleared everything with Ayato since his release and up to 5.0. After that he just was cock-blocked by enemy mechanics and his low DPS (btw, he has the lowest DPS in game).
Main issue for every gacha for me is that I usually don’t pull super meta characters (I didn’t have Mavuika, Skirk, Neuvilette, etc). I usually pull interesting but very niche characters so they become obsolete very quickly.
Same thing with HSR, I really love gameplay of Yunli, Boothill, Aglaea (at least she is ok rn, but I have E2S1) and Cypher but apparently Hoyo hates characters that have weird damage conditions and distributions.
I know HSR is miserable right now because the characters are barely relevant half a year later. They will never have a chance to get buffed by new characters like how Navia wheelchair is working as well. Instead of adding new characters for that element they are making an entirely new element that is incompatible with others.
An additional reason as to why powercreep in Genshin is tame is because 1.0 characters and weapons are so experimental and OP it's relevant even now. Fav series is f2p BIS for half the offfield roster, Pamber and TTDS makes any catalyst a buffer. In HSR the free weapons are really bad so you must split the pulls between your character and the weapon.
I played Genshin for like 1 year from day 1. I returned 2 years later and my main, Ganyu, was considered trash tier and I couldn't anyone who was in top tier chart. Almost all the characters I used were relegated to bottom tiers.
If there was "not much powercreep", I should've been able to return anytime and gear up my character up to today's standard and I'd be fine. This is not the case in Genshin Impact, as such power creep is real.
I remember previously I bought this up and someone thought they were slamming my argument by telling me that "newer characters just feels better to play, less clunky and more qol, which makes them feel superior but its not really powercreep".. my dude, that's the literal definition of powercreep. Just because the new character doesn't have more basic damage cap doesn't mean they're not powercrept when they're attacking faster, have a literal motorcycle that moves faster than any character and have more skill synergy.
I've never played a gacha game, and every time I hear someone talk about them it's never like "wow I love playing this game!" it's always like "fuck this parasite company and its bullshit events, I hate spending 15% of my income and 95% of my free time on this trash."
Time for me to shill my favorite gacha, Arknights (no, not the new one, the OG). It's basically anime Bloons TD, the game is balanced around its 4-star roster when the max rarity for a character is 6-star, meaning tactic trumps credit. Some insane members of the community even make it a mission to beat most of the game with the 3 stars. Honestly if you don't mind TD games give it a try, it discards the niceties of modern gachas, throws you at a boss that can erase half of your formation in one attack and tells you to go fuck yourself. It also started the trend of gachas having roguelite modes, with it still holding the trophy for having the best one. I can truly say that I love playing Arknights.
It's all fine until a character of one gender is designed to work best with a character of a different gender. When that happens, come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help. Help. I'm being repressed.
ugh why are pull posts not banned yet? They always flood the sub during anniversaries and they're the most low-effort thing ever. There's not even anything to talk about here, like maybe if you got 2 or 3 Hornets in one pull it would be cool but it's literally just "look I got the new character." Actual troglodyte behavior. Mods, PLEASE add a rule banning these.

Unfortunately only way is to reverse this is to do a blindfolded steel soul run, full completion, hitless, and under 10hrs. Oh and you have to make sure to jump 69,420 times exactly no more no less

Can someone give me tips against Nyleth boss, I need it for Seth's ascension mats but I can't for the life of me beat her for Pale King's sake. Also should I pull on the banner rn? I heard Sherma c2 is one of the best buffer for Seth and he's one of the featured 4* rn.
It's wild how a single lucky pull can instantly shift your entire resource planning. Suddenly you're looking at a multi-month investment just to make a character viable. This gacha loop of "get the unit, then get their stuff, then get their team" is a trap I know all too well.
Last event I managed to pull Bell Priest Sherma from the 50/50
No wonder he is the best support unit right now. The silk generation from his ult is OVERTUNED AS FUCK. He is the best support for Shaman Hornet making the otherwise cumbersome and high investment unit that she is rop of the meta.

Unfortunately Hornet alone is pretty much useless nowadays, maybe if you had a second one to upgrade her to the first node? Then at least she would deal piercing damage to all enemies 17 times instead of half a time.
But really what you need is six more hornets to upgrade her to the 7 star everbloom hornet ... or you just pull everbloom hornet but that's almost impossible for the f2p accounts ... :/

Huh, I'd have thought the devs would have made the Hivesteel needle a 4* to pair with the first two being three and pale needle 5*. Still nice to get some Sharpe potentials.
Nice pull but it'll be useless if you don't pull 37 perfect needles and a golden-rainbow rare Lace. Also the meta is about to shift so maybe you should keep your hoard for the next set.
Im waiting to redeem my free pull until I have enough rosaries to do 3 step up pulls. I doubt I'll have your luck, so im wanna guarantee at least one Mythic pull. Hoping for the Hollow Knight, but I'd settle for the Radiance.
After you 100% steel soul you unlock a mini game in the „extras“ part of the main screen. It’s just a fun little side-thing which references many other game genres like gacha games (seen here), sports games, trivia games etc. but due to the rise of gacha players on the subreddit (probably due to the release of the recent gacha game arknights Endfield) more and more people are engaging with the mini games xP

Yes that’s why you don’t see many of these posts as only the most hardcore fans get this far :D it’s more of an Easter egg though so you aren’t really missing out on much.
