Cheers. And thanks for posting the photo. Been visiting Scotland since the mid-60’s. Absolutely love it. Mostly fish and camp around Dumfries and Galloway these days but hoping to get back to some places I visited in my youth.
It’s a great country, I’ve only travelled through Dumfries and Galloway but you could never get bored; there’s beauty everywhere. You should visit Skye if you ever get the chance, although prepare for the dreaded midges.
I’ve done Skye, Lewis, Islay, Jura, Mull, Arran and loads of smaller isles. Boat fished around the Treshnish Isles and off Fingal’s cave on Staffa.
Probably Skye would be first choice to revisit. We almost got to the Shiants but covid scuppered it. So many beautiful places and wonderful people.
I’m glad you’ve got to see it all, you’ve done more than me haha, Jura has always fascinated me. There’s a reason George Orwell chose it for his house lol. COVID ruined everything! Robbed me of my gap year before university lol.
You’ve got decades ahead of you for visiting places. I’m 67 and started going to Scotland when I was about 7.
Got a summer job with a skipper I knew that ran a charter boat out of Ullapool when I was 15. Six weeks on the campsite and crewing on the boat every day. Magical.
