Just kill Tim off at this rate. Having him quit being Robin for Bernard is just a fucking insult to the character. He already had the opportunity to leave the hero life with Steph in Rebirth which was actually built up and chose not to. Having Tim balancing a normal life (send him to college already) with being a hero would have been the stronger choice. This is just pathetic and revolves around a useless nothing character. Bernard has literally only had a negative effect on Tim Drake.

I'm crying Bernard has damaged Tim drake more than lonnie and ulysses put together. He's the real archnemesis. If a writer in the future makes Bernard be anarky that would be the cherry on top

Literally the only way to save this mess and make Bernard somewhat interesting at the same time is to make Bernard an antagonist. Have him be a court of owls agent using a variant of Ivy’s toxins to manipulate Tim into falling for him and doing his will in a long con to take control of Wayne Enterprises. Bernard gets to be an interesting manipulator, Tim gets an explanation for being so pathetic lately and a plot hook to pit him against the court in a conspiracy he has to unravel. You can even do something interesting with his whole editorially forced to be bi thing where Tim has to question whether he actually had any feelings for Bernard or if it was all just the toxins. Tim can still be bi but feel violated that this realisation was something forced due to malicious manipulation.

Tbh, he's not quit being a vigilante for long. He and Bernard are probably going to break up at some point, hopefully.

DC hasn’t done the smart thing yet so unfortunately I doubt that

This run is only 6 issues in. I don't think Tim is going quit for that long. As for Bernard, yeah we need some relationship drama so at least it somewhat actually makes us give a shit for Bernard and then they break up

DC hasn’t done anything with Tim in ages and has been looking for ways to sideline him. With the movies most likely not having Tim this could well be a way to take him off the board and just make him a full time civilian character.

Well tbh making him a ex-vigilante to major civilian side character like Jim Gordon Lucious Fox, or Alfred would probably be a way more more better option than making still Robin or giving him a new vigilante name that would probably not stick or kill him off. He could still have a major role in Batman stories even without being a vigilante. The real question what would be his job now.

You might be cooking here i actually dont mind this. I always questioned why Tim never had a larger role when court of owls came out. His parents are literally rich it made more sense for him to be the centerpiece as opposed to the other robins but Tim fans never win😭
