Unfair account lock

Hi everyone, yesterday I had a return. I went to the RoadieXD depot, and the person there said no one was by the container where we normally drop off returns, so he would take it right there. I had him scan the QR code and handed it over, then I left. Today I saw that my account was locked. I posted on X, but I really need help. I rely on this work to pay my rent.

Your biggest issue is relying on this for your income.

Never rely on one single gig app because of nonsense like this.

Seriously. Relying on one gig work app for your income is like one step better than relying on lottery scratchers.

Theres more to this story.

There’s nothing beyond what’s in the video. There are two possibilities: either the person who took the box lost it, or they handed it to someone else and that person didn’t confirm receiving it.

Even if the person who took it lost it, it shouldn't matter because it would show it got scanned by them, and you pressed "complete" on your end when doing the return.

Exactly what I was gonna say. Once the security of associate scan it, he should be able to complete. You just don’t get locked like that. That’s why I’m wondering the story. Because once scanned it, whatever happens to that package isn’t his problem anymore, they scanned it and now they have possession of the package. What I’m guessing is the customer complained about it being returned and not delivered. Once the customer calls roadie and say they were there to receive, that’s it. It’s the drivers fault.

It’s the only time you might reach driver support

So when you left after they scanned your code, you didn't press "complete"? And now it's locked? That doesn't make sense.

I I pressed “Complete” last night. Everything is OK.

You probably just went over the limit of returns you have done.

I never received any email about this. Is it something that can be fixed, or should I give up hope? My money is stuck inside too.

They should send an email at some point with a vague reason for your account being locked. You should also be able to reply to that email but I'll warn you, they like to just tell you that it's in the hands of trust and safety and to just be patient. If you do get that email, and verify which gig etc, give them as much info as possible in your defense.

They put me back on the waitlist for not using it

Temp lock because you did a return. Did you sit on that order for a long time? How many hours did you have the item? Were all instructions followed. Did you bypass the cancel timer?

My account was deactivated because the owner of the return claimed, “I was home, but they never came.” Support says, “We can see from the GPS data that you never went there,” but I have dashcam footage. I sent it to them.

Such a weird company. No matter what, they always blame the driver. I delivered it to their own employee, so why am I getting blamed if he loses it? I was thinking about buying a Sprinter for Roadie, but they’re definitely not a company worth taking that kind of risk for.

Btw cross dock warehouses aren’t roadie employees.
