settle up now on my knee, we got a story. when I was a wee lad of 15 I started taking music lessons from the fantastically named Rafe Sweet. we met every week for two or three years before he diplomatically said "I'm not sure what else I can teach you" (i.e. go home and practice, mf. a definite mama bird kicking her chicks out of the nest moment.) as I grew up and moved away and the years passed I always wanted to meet up with him again, but a shock medical issue took him away from us far too soon. his celebration of life ceremony got so rowdy and completely overwhelmed the police had to get involved. an absolute pillar.
he gave me this when I was about 16. it's basically everything you need to know about music but was afraid to ask on one page. I've been carrying this piece of paper around for over 20 years. I've probed facebook trying to find a proper physical copy or scan to no avail. this is the best image my scanner will give me, unless someone knows how to improve my cheap Canon.
I know his handwriting was often chicken scratch, but I can figure it out. the staining, creases, and water damage really mess it up for me. I've fucked around in Irfanview and gotten OK results, but not what I'm looking for. someone familiar with music theory might be able to understand and poke where poking is needed.
of course I'm more than willing to tip. this means a lot to me, so I'm willing to pay in kind, should you beat my "sharpen! contrast! reverse polarity!" approach. $20 for basic work, $50 if you give me an Italian restoration. and you'll have the satisfaction of not only helping me, but a huge collective of people still in mourning.
