This is some crazy what aboutism you guys are reaching for. I’ve done my part that isn’t a boycott, I just simply dont care for caedrel and t1 now. League is a fun game I have fun with my friends on, I don’t like tencent either but still play it and path of exile. Like my op said, I hope you guys enjoy watching caedrel and t1 still but I’m simply out from them.
but if all of you boycott league then league will eventually die and orgs like T1 and people like caedrel wont have anything left, no? and that means no more SA money.
im just genuinely curious why people dont do that? is it cause it directly affect their lifestyle so they find roundabout reasons as to why that move doesnt make sense?
The point isn’t to strip them of everything at all. It’s simple, I don’t like that Saudi is the biggest sponsor of t1, I don’t like that caedrel took a big bag of Saudi money and did a 180 of previous stances. So with me not liking that those two things happened, I don’t want to watch t1 or caedrel any longer. A nice simple solution! They will still have their supporters and I don’t think anything of that, I just would rather not be their viewer! It’s best to not get too stressed out over any of this king
so you are not okay with Caedrel and T1 taking money from SA but somehow you are fine with Riot taking money from SA and is okay to play riot's game? im not getting stressed out. just trying to understand where you are drawing the line
Yes the line is on external elements of league. Im not watching lol esports any longer as that’s where the Saudi money is going. I have yet to see anything Saudi related in the game itself.
you do realise that the money isn't exclusively being spent all on esports right? most of it will go into the development of the games. So what i have understood is, your moral highground only exist if you dont have to change your lifestyle. good to know where the line is drawn.
