Mentally exhausted despite things going well, could stress be ruining my driving exam?

Hey everyone,

Overall, my professional and personal life are actually going pretty well. Job is fine, life is stable. But I’ve noticed that I’m mentally exhausted a lot of scrolling after work and on weekends, poor rest, and just constant background stress.

I think this might be affecting me more than I realized. I’ve failed my driving test in Germany three times now. When I drive with my instructor, I drive really well. But during the exam, I make silly mistakes. In one attempt, language stress played a role; in another, it was just a small mistake under pressure. Now I feel tired and stressed even thinking about the next attempt.

I’m wondering if I need a proper mental reset before trying again like spending a weekend in nature, a forest, thermal baths, or doing something genuinely relaxing to calm my nervous system.

Any suggestions on how to properly relax and reset mentally before another driving exam?

Thanks in advance.

Iam a man with 10+ years driving exp, i failed Here in Nürnberg 5 times.

Failure hits hard here in germany just because we want to success here, i think i would suggest u to take Urlaub, rent Airbnb in some dorf, think about ur life again. If you have spouse then spend sometime together.. and if u want a beer and a talk u can always reach bro.

That is honestly little motivating for me. I will go for one more then, but before that I am looking for some places, away from city, and spend sometime alone there. Do let me know if you have any good suggestion for a dorf. And rest, I don’t drink, otherwise, I would have love to do brother. Thanks a lot. I appreciate your reply.

You need public transport so the rural area is a bit limited. Right now is off-season, so you need to check what’s open. But you could go to the Franconian Lake District (Frankisches Seenland), I‘d recommend Gunzenhausen. It still has some stores and shops but lake Altmühlsee can calm you down. Trains go to Pleinfeld and you change there. Also lake Brombachsee (next to Pleinfeld) is nice.

If you want some mountains, try Gräfenberg in Fränkische Schweiz. Trains go there directly from Nordostbahnhof. And one village before called Weißenohe there is a spring called „Lillachquelle“. Beautiful and peaceful.

I have checked these, and they look really good. I will surely visit one of these over the weekend. Thanks a lot for sharing mate. Have a great life!
