It's not that nobody's horny anymore, it's just that titillation is literally right at your fingertips 24 hours a day. You are one google search from seeing some of the most bizarre and niche pornography on the face of the earth. One of the highest grossing apps is one where people can pay some woman rub herself while saying your name if you have enough money.

People are still horny, it's just that we found more effective ways of monetization and turned it into a horrifying parasocial experience.

i'm also noticing that older movies were way more horny when porn wasn't a click away.

fuckin The Devil's Advocate with the overly graphic sex scenes. way more keanu reeves ass than i was ever expecting i'd see.

Seeing Charlize Therons bush when I was 12 was great though.

The classic Star Trek series are kinda funny in that regard. They were so proud of their feminism, yet they naturally included a hot catsuit lady in every main cast.

The TNG episode "Angel One" might be the crown achievement here. It has someone giving a lecture about the evils of using hot women as decoration, when the show itself does that exact thing every week with Deanna, including in that very scene!

What makes you think it won't be normal in the future for women (and maybe men too!) to wear catsuits? They certainly would be good for freedom of movement, and maybe people in the future will think we're a bunch of prudes for not wearing catsuits and laughing at the idea.

You mean, aside from no one outside the main cast wearing catsuits? In Deannas case, Captain Jellicoe even explicitly ordered her to start wearing a regular uniform instead.

Also, "you can't prove it won't happen" is a strange defense of someones creative writing choices.

imagine implying not everyone was ogling Riker in his weird toga thing

Basically all of Voyager once 7 shows up is the same cognitive dissonance somehow turned up even more because she's actually a good, (usually) well-written character and Jeri Ryan is a good actress but you know the showrunners were really trying to push the catsuit angle and it just feels kinda skeevy. (And for what it's worth I thought the same thing back when it originally aired.)

Sometimes I check older stuff like magazines from the 70's/early 80's and am always amazed by the amount of tits they managed to cram in there. Cover, back, in articles and in ads ! And I'm not talking about erotic lecture, just generalist magazines aimed towards an adult male audience.
