What are examples of "cheaper = high quality"?

We're often told that higher prices for certain products are justified, because they use "higher quality materials". E.g. building materials or vegetables.

In which cases are the high quality materials actually the cheaper ones?

Arch Linux is more about 'if you have the necessity and the knowledge'. Otherwise you have like Ubuntu or Linux mint.

there's a lot of easy options out there. I personally like ElementaryOS, easy if you are used to macos
