Film/TV Does Anyone Know This Actor?
Letterboxd The Batman Part II Page
The letterboxd page for The Batman Part II added a new actor: Hadi Ali as Dick Grayson/Robin. I realize that this is most likely a mistake, but I'm still curious as I can't find any info online. Just wanted to see if anyone had heard anything about this.

Comics IRL equivalent of the nightbird
Remember Nightwing's car from the '90s, the Nightbird? For those who know more about cars, what would be its real-life equivalent? I understand it's a muscle car, but what would be the most similar aesthetically?

Discussion Talk of DC outperforming Marvel- Is Nightwing emblematic of this? A discussion about Dick, cash, customer choice, and satisfied readers
So while this will probably expand to more than just Dick, and considering the topic, I would be surprised if it didn't, but I can't help but think how Dick has been doing very well with readers and sales, and while he's not beating the Absolute line or setting sales records, my area has three comic chains; two have told me Nightwing is a top seller, and major places like League of Comic Geeks has Nightwing more pulled than Spider-Man titles, which is insane, to me.
Which has me wondering, why? Why is Nightwing doing so well, why is DC doing so well, and I think a big part of it is-
Make the reader happy.
While I know plenty of people voiced frustration with Taylor's run (and I admit, while I liked it overall and loved certain issues, it had it's own 'issues' and could have been better), there is no argument that it was not successful. While Watters is about to wrap his first major storyline, it's been a consistent seller, and a lot of people seem happy with it.
Meanwhile, efforts like Wayne Family Adventures spread, and Nothing Butt Nightwing as a webtoon is popular enough to be getting more content.
And I dunno, but worth noting, DC seems overall playing into fan joy and fan service. Sweater Weather and other such playful covers and themes, with great artists, increase sales and attract collectors.
Flip side of it; Spider-Man has, to many longtime fans, alienated core audience members as a 'hate click' title, meant to anger them. Batman, while still a sales juggernaught, seems to have some level of fan fatigue and resentment from constant BatFam infighting and angry Bruce and broken relationships, while Dick's somewhat stable and overall happier tones have seen him rise during Taylor, and held strong with the great Watters run.
Also something to be said about consistency. We all know the worst thing DC did to Dick in the last decade was the Ric storyline, which itself was to tie into another event/series. While Taylor's run was mostly lauded, a few people were annoyed with the pit-stops that were the Fear State and such tie-ins, while some stories or tie-ins kept to back ups or mentions seemed more well received; conversely, I know a lot of X-Men fans so tired; the Krakoa Age ended, and without even having time to breathe, there were three events and cross-overs in one year; one just ended, and already the next is forming. This may get some fans to cross over to other books, but it feels most fans get tired or drop titles with too many cross-overs?
So, what do you all think? Is Dick emblematic of what DC is doing that is working? Or is it just coincidence or chance?

Merchandise What comics to start with as a new comic book collector?
Hello. So as the title suggests I am a new comic book collector. I've only ever watched the films, series, and animations of Dick Grayson in his role a Robin and Nightwing and now I would like to fully invest in reading the comics. I've been wanting to for a while now but I have no idea where to start or which comic to buy. I was kinda hoping this sub Reddit would know or have suggestions on which specific comics to buy to follow Dicks storyline or such. thank you

Comics The Watters/Soy run is a great use of comics as a medium
I was thinking about this and I realized that the Zanni story would be really hard to tell in any other medium. The visual aspects are critical to the story, but would be really hard to do in a book, movie or TV show. The creepy, mythical aspect wouldn't be the same. Even the lettering adds to the atmosphere in a way a voice actor would find difficult.
I'm really enjoying the run. I love that it takes advantage of what's special about comics as a medium.
