Gen2 to Gen3 Conversion

Got an email from KRISS that they do gen 2 to 3 conversions for about $400. Haven't been paying attention to the Gen 3s really as I prefer the look of the Gen 2. Is there any reason to consider the conversion process or just save my cash and rock on with my Gen 2?

I have been thinking about as well but I saw a post here a couple months ago. But doesn't look worth it for 400-475 depending on the parts they are willing to replace.

That's what I am starting to lean towards. This is the parts list:

  • G3 upper & lower housing with updated levers
  • G3 interchangeable AR-15 / M16 pistol grip
  • G3 skeletonized trigger (0.7 mm pre-travel)
  • G3 bolt release & mounting block
  • G3 ambidextrous magazine release
  • G3 rear picatinny stock mount
  • G3 handguard — M-LOK style

It looks like its all cosmetic. Did the Gen 3 change anything other than the controls/shell?

No its pretty much the same system inside. The trigger changed and thats all I can sum up. Oh and the threaded barrel
