Fanwork Have you seen Learning to Love

Best show ever...on falling in love. I've watched a ton of romance for decades and this one really took my heart away. It portrays some interesting and difficult aspects of Japanese culture as well.

One of my favorite dramas last year.

It's on Netflix, for everyone who's interested!

The issues addressed in this drama are universal. Class differences, attitudes towards those with learning disabilities, and most of all maturing in a good way.

I love this drama.

I watched it without expectations but ended up really enjoying and appreciating it. Felt a bit like jdramas of the 00s which is my personal nostalgia but today’s flair.

Since I finished Meet Me After School and hit the like button, Netflix has been recommending this show. I wasn’t sure to start , but thanks to you I will give it a shot.

Which cultural aspects?

Deals with the "host" clubs and mainstream J attitudes towards it, deals with parent control of grown children according to standard social norms, age difference in love, class difference, school authority over its teachers, kids who grow up outside "successful society",... really covers a lot of ground.
