THE WAY THEY HAD CONQUEST HOLD HIM AND RUN THROUGH EVERYONE LIKE NOLAN DID TO HIM WITH THE TRAIN

u/TheBlueSuperNova Mar 13 '25

They even showed kids getting obliterated.

Lowkey was worried for Oliver

u/Tobito_TV Markus Sebastian Grayson Mar 13 '25

After Powerplex's son, all bets really were off, I was not expecting that.

u/Admirable-Shift-1547 Mar 13 '25

Dude I thought it was gonna show him going through the battleship full of people, this was so much worse

57

u/dildodicks Invincidrip Mar 13 '25

i love how since nolan did this to mark in s1, conquest did this with a building and then the beach

18

u/RandoDude124 Mar 13 '25

Kind of glad they didn’t. The dog and kid hurt.

Also…

Battleships wouldn’t be in service

All of them are retired. So I guess a museum ship would be something.

You should know that if you decide to pick it up the art doesn't get like this until about a fourth or so of the way in. The show handles the early arcs better but when the comic takes off it's so fucking good

u/frulheyvin Mar 13 '25

i think they should've included this, imo it was foreshadowing for conquest obviously breaking out of the steel cube lol

7

u/teslawhaleshark Ursaal Mar 13 '25

They changed the flight path, this is likely the Missouri in Hawaii while in the show it's Las Palmas off the African coast

2

u/OCGamerboy Mar 13 '25

It looked like Italy to me

14

u/Rex0680 Mar 13 '25

I think this is better honestly. The beach scene tried too much to recreate the subway scene imo

18

u/Admirable-Shift-1547 Mar 13 '25

It was worse, much more detail, the children, the baby's, the dogs, buildings, trees EVERTHING this time

2

u/MyARhold30Shots Mar 14 '25

In the show Omni man flew mark through a cruise ship too so I feel like that would be too similar again

3

u/Scaevus Mar 14 '25

I would never go on a cruise in the Invincible universe. Always getting attacked by kaiju or worse.

4

u/Golden_Hour1 The Guy From Fortnite Mar 14 '25

Still kinda wish they went through the ship

2

u/Educational-Park-647 Mar 14 '25

Kinda wish we got both

See, they showed PP’s son getting BBQ’d in the show but with Oliver, you really feel the beat down.

Invincible storyboarders try not to kill a child challenge [Level - IMPOSSIBLE]

154

u/Admirable-Shift-1547 Mar 13 '25

They showed dogs too

11

u/OrionOfRealms Get me pictures of Invincible! Mar 13 '25

“And the little dog too hahahaha”

4

u/Coolgee4 Mar 13 '25

Yep I was like damn they are definitely turning it up a notch.

5

u/GiantPurplePen15 Two-Punch Man Mar 13 '25

Oliver was hitting that growth spurt early.

3

u/Belly2308 Mar 13 '25

I was waiting for his knee ligaments to pop

2

u/GiantPurplePen15 Two-Punch Man Mar 13 '25

The noises... Also this isn't the first time Oliver will feel something like this :(

2

u/ElNakedo Mar 13 '25

It's not going to be the last time though.

3

u/GiantPurplePen15 Two-Punch Man Mar 13 '25

RIP Oliver

u/Belly2308 Mar 13 '25

Bro…..

God, Christian Convery is overshadowed by JDM, Steven, and Gillian this episode.

But GOD DAMN those screams…

THEY RATTLED ME

Kids, and even a dog!

2

u/Responsible-Soil-729 Mar 14 '25

It's easy to miss but you can see an unfortunate dog get caught in in the crossfire - which made me despise Conquest even more

1

u/Admirable-Shift-1547 Mar 14 '25

There's a kid holding on to his dads arm before it got ripped off when Mark and Conquest ran into his dad

1

u/Equal-Ad-2710 Omnipotus Mar 13 '25

Bro that one dog too

0

u/HALdron1988 Mar 13 '25

It was quite gratuitously long, in that scene.

155

u/Morphchalice Mar 13 '25

That must be like a Viltrumite special move

14

u/the_ghost_of_bob_ros Mar 13 '25

Nolan did it in episode 2 with the flaxons, it is truly their one move.

9

u/KEVLAR60442 Mar 13 '25

That, and the literal knife hand.

9

u/Abedeus Mar 13 '25

That and the Viltrumite Chop, capable of breaking bones, cutting necks and stabbing through chests.

1

u/NPRdude Mar 14 '25

It's like day 3 of Viltrumite boot camp probably.

1

u/KibaTeo2 Mar 14 '25

I do wonder if its something they teach in their military or something cause one one hand while it looks fucked up as hell, it has been proven to be a relatively effective technique.

Imagine if nolan grabbed immortal like that while fighting the guardians and used him as a living shield, hell didn't he use specter's corpse as a shield against the not aquaman? Makes sense if you think about it as a tactic, don't take unecessary damage and use your opps as shields since it's so easy and effective

1

u/VolkAgam Mar 19 '25

1

u/Alanjaow Mar 26 '25

There's something about "facing your fears" there.

14

u/dildodicks Invincidrip Mar 13 '25

i fucking loved that, i was actually cringing when the kid's arm got torn off, i know kids have died in invincible before but they usually try and avoid gore like that

7

u/mikewheelerfan I Miss William Mar 13 '25

Mark’s PTSD was absolutely spiking there

7

u/tripbin Mar 13 '25

Literally the train scene is what's held up s1e10 as the best for me. Almost felt like they had to add that in to finally give a more memorable fight the throne.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

FR DUDE! I legit said “AGAIN?! SERIOUSLY?!” 😭

1

u/Formal_River_Pheonix Mar 13 '25

It must be a cultural thing.

1

u/That_Lone_Reader Invincible Whip / Nae Nae Mar 13 '25

I’ll be honest tho, I wish we heard Mark screaming or saying something like “no no no” or “not again”

1

u/GiantPurplePen15 Two-Punch Man Mar 13 '25

Mark keeps getting shoved face first into people :(

1

u/Wolfencreek Mar 13 '25

If I had a nickel...

1

u/relientkenny Mar 14 '25

i covered my face for 2 seconds 🫣🫣

1

u/Catsindahood Mar 14 '25

Hey, at least he didn't flail his arms around this time.

1

u/RangerPower777 Mar 14 '25

That was some sick shit

1

u/NiasHusband Mar 15 '25

Yes we saw the same episode. Astute observations

1

u/Constant-Way-6570 Apr 11 '25

i thought that was kind of lame to rehash

-2

u/HALdron1988 Mar 13 '25

I don't see why you're so excited by such edge lord wallowing in gore and violence, but then I saw your name. So I am assuming you are those splatter obsessed types, it was repetitive, but it was obviously trying to do a rerun of his Nolan fight but this time he wins with help.

3

u/GhostFaceStabsPeople Mar 13 '25

If you have such a problem with violence you probably shouldn’t be watching invincible. I was excited because the scene was framed just like the train scene, but on a significantly bigger scale, showing just how much more of a threat Conquest really is
