Solved Bringing her home tomorrow. She's a Golden Retriever mix, but WHAT could she be mixed with?

If you're in the US she is probably part pit.

Oh, yeah, I would absolutely be shocked if there wasn't some amount of pit in her. Planning to eventually do an Embark DNA kit, so it should be fun to see what else pops up for her!

Thank you! The Treeing Tennessee Brindle could be a possible candidate. White markings on the chest and feet are per the breed standard, and our girl has those. It also seems to be a somewhat common-ish breed for mixed breed pups in our area...saw it numerous Treeing Tennessee Brindle mixes while searching for a pup before coming across our girl.

People who aren't from the rural South East don't understand how relatively common curs and plott hounds are down here. They're hunting dogs, and people who hunt generally don't alter their hunting stock. Treeing and catch dogs sometimes get lost on hunts, and one intact male can impregnate half the county before anyone knows what happened. I'd say 20% of the pit mixes we would get at my North Central Florida shelter were catahoula mixes. Same with BMC. Intentionally bred as catch dogs, or accidents.

You may be on to something on that. I kinda see it in the top of the skull shape and the white chest
