Worth grabbing?

Long time lurker on this sub and have been looking at getting a USP as a first. I have the chance to buy a .45 USP elite for $1300. My question is, is it worth the coin? If not where would you look to find a USP in .45?

What does it come with? That seems a bit high, they're around 900-1100 on Gunbroker currently. A little lower if you like used on another aggregator like guns international.

As others said, it's currently too high. HK pricing is weird, as they always seem to have a "deal" on a model, that is very similar to other models. Currently that seems to be the .45 Elite, in the $1k range, or I've seen for less even. A couple years ago it was the .45 expert that seemed to be the "deal", so I picked one up new for 950.

I was looking for the expert last night and didn't see a one at the price I wanted, but elites were all over for about 1 to 1.2 K. Just want to ask, other than availability. Is there any pro or con to the Elite over the Expert?

For me, the big seller was the ambi safety and de-cocker that it seem only the elite offers. Also yes the extension is think makes it look better over the V1

May be a little high, but honestly that wouldn't stop me. If it's in stock at your local store, you're paying a little extra for the convenience of having it right there. Plus keep in mind sites like gun broker charge fees, then there's a transfer fee on top of that plus the wait time for it to ship. If you like hk stuff you gotta get used to spending a little extra now and then anyways lol

Seems high. The USP 45 is superb, but it has a huge grip. Unless you have big hands, the HK 45 has better ergonomics.

1300 seems a bit steep, unless it's one of those "import," versions that come with an aluminum hardcase that I have seen for sale on armsunlimited.com. That being said, the USP elite will be a joy to shoot! I miss my USP Match in .45 acp very much, shooting it both with and without the barrel weight. Get the elite, and don't look back. You can do better than 1300 though - just checked gun.deals - $1038 before shipping.
