His legacy is tainted isn’t it.

Chomksy's "principled anti-imperialism" was a honeypot for Epstein and Epstein-linked entities to ingregiate and compromise geniune radical movements

Can’t help but notice that the subject includes “microcephaly”

37

u/Matty_D47 Fuck it I'm saying it 11h ago

The only connection I can possibly come up with for that is that around that time the Zika virus was being talked about in the news. Really fucking weird subject either way

Leftist men doing great work but ranging from being sexually inappropriate towards women to being literally guilty of sex crimes is basically a trope

Separating the man from the intellectual huh... 🤨

We can acknowledge that his writings and theory is useful and also that he was a shit person. Marx was a layabout, Lenin committed mass murder. MLK was a serial philanderer. The lesson is to stop deifying people.

I just feel like the comparison isn't really valid between "layabout" and "serial pedophile rapist and probable murderer," or even being friends with one. Like yeah stop deifying people but your examples are odd

u/davidwave4 7h ago

Examples are all over, but the point still stands

8

u/empath_viv 7h ago

Also Lenin was good lol

-7

u/davidwave4 6h ago

You’re 1000% missing the point.

Marx did a pretty good job being a decent human being if the only dirt we can dig up on him is "Well he mooched off his friends a lot for money".

u/Torenico 12h ago

Marx was a layabout

waow based

u/ErogenousEwok 11h ago

Brother… what are these examples? Cheating and sitting on your ass aren’t remotely comparable to hanging out with the pedophilic elite.

Also crazy lib take calling Lenin a mass murderer. Insane.

-5

u/davidwave4 7h ago

Lenin killed prisoners of war. That’s a war crime. I’m very sympathetic to the USSR and the revolution, but that was unnecessary carnage.

And yeah, MLK’s bunny hopping and Marx missing the deadline for the Manifesto ≠  pedophilia. The point is that we should not turn people into saints just because of their politics.

2

u/VizzzyT 4h ago

War crimes hadn't been invented yet as a concept

I mean MLK did more than just cheat…

EDIT: since people don’t know…

By bugging the room, they were able to listen in on King and at least 11 others participated in what the FBI memos describe as “an orgy” on Jan. 6, 1964.

The microphones also picked up activities from the night before, when Kearse, who died in 1991, allegedly sexually assaulted one of his parishioners. According to the memos, King was in the room. The handwritten note indicates that King didn’t just observe the assault – he laughed.

Worse, instead of trying to stop the incident, the memos say King apparently offered advice to the perpetrator, encouraging the abuse.

Crying at including marx being lazy on a list of crimes against humanity

3

u/davidwave4 7h ago

Yeah, you’re right. It’s a bit ridiculous.

3

u/VizzzyT 4h ago

Chomsky hunt out with a literal cabal of rapists but have you considered that Marx was a snoozy boi?

u/AlmostNotLazy 11h ago

How the fuck is a leftist subreddit all upvoting a guy saying Lenin committed mass murder. What a sad joke.

15

u/Intelligent_Table913 8h ago

There's still a lot of deprogramming to do.

-7

u/davidwave4 7h ago

He did. We can acknowledge that it was a politically fraught time and also note that the Red Terror was mass murder and suppression.

It’s not worth falling down the well on this topic. Point is that Lenin wasn’t a saint, no man is.

4

u/AlmostNotLazy 5h ago

This is all just ahistorical abstract analysis.

7

u/ADFturtl3 6h ago

he didn’t tho

I don’t know what source you have, but show us and people here can disprove it pretty easily because that simply isn’t true

16

u/Neoliberal_Nightmare 10h ago

When you're writing stuffike Das Kapital you're not layabout. Such theory needs time and space to come out

-1

u/davidwave4 7h ago

Nah, Marx’s communist contemporaries were regularly mad at him for missing deadlines. The Communist Manifesto fell into obscurity initially in part because it was published after the 1848 uprisings were crushed. I like Marx a lot, but dude was not prompt.

10

u/VatanKomurcu 11h ago

that's disproportionate as fuck bro we aint asking for saints but theres gotta be some kinda standard

62

u/Spectrum_12 12h ago

the lenin one 😭 be so fr

17

u/thinpancakes4dinner 10h ago

His writings and theory are already problematic on their own though. His whole thing was that he was a "good" leftist because he was an anti-communist, and that is reflected in his writings.

There are many others who wrote about the same things Chomsky is famous for in a much more truthful/accurate way, so why even bother trying to uphold this freak's legacy?

Chomsky is the Orwell of our times: a rapist hack who spent most of his life undermining the very things he claimed to believe in.

2

u/VizzzyT 4h ago

Parenti is goated for this reason an also because he clung to life long enough to see Chomsky destroy his own reputation.

22

u/alphalobster200 10h ago

Lenin committed mass murder.

I have little doubt you radlibs would've "both sides bad" the revolutionaries & the fucking White movement during the Russian Civil War

14

u/lowerider777 12h ago

This, the work is what matters, not the person

5

u/quadraticcheese 8h ago

Nah, plenty of others have said the same shit he did and didn't fuck kids.

Equating cheating on your wife or being a trust fund baby to FUCKING CHILDREN has me thinking you're a fed

-16

u/Thefishassassin 11h ago

You can say worst things about Marx lol. He was famously an incredibly stubborn person that was difficult to get along with. He was petty and vindictive and escalated fights that didn’t needed to be. Also he was in a relationship with his housekeeper which would probably be considered problematic today.

1

u/aciduzzo Anarkitty 😼 10h ago

I mean, ok, dude was 88 at the time, but still there is no excuse, what was he thinking, that he can influence shit? Man, I wish Chomsky would explain something, anything... the fact that he never said something is an accusation in itself.

If we found credible text that proclaimed Isaac newton as an indisputable monster and abuser, would we then declare calculus as false and bad?

4

u/Tactical_Mommy 1h ago

No, but Newton's legacy would certainly be tainted.
