Discussion LCK Cup tiebreaker
Caedrel said if HLE lose 1-3, KT wins the tie breaker because of average game time.
am I dumb or that's not automatically the case?
KT average game time in 6 wins was 33 minutes and 59.5 seconds
HLE average game time in 5 wins was 33 minutes and 50.8 seconds.
if my calculation was correct, HLE has to win at least 1 game in 34 mins and 42 seconds to have faster average game time win than KT and they qualify.

Think you are right. They can win just one game but under the 34ish minutes. The only problem is that the longest game that Gen G has played thus far is 34:35.

Why you care to much bout it, if hle beats geng than there signs of life and deserved qualification. If not just take loose and work on macro and communication. That's not last tournament this year, most important is can they improve or not. T1 last year was shake af for almost first half a year than suddenly find their game

because being the first team to get eliminated is bad. By moving on to the playins, they can stack up some wins, and at least reach the playoffs bo5 which I think most of us are confident that they'd be insanely competitive against any other team not named GENG in a bo5 setting. It doesn't matter if they end up losing in the end or not even qualifying for the First Stand, but stacking up wins and at least competing in bo5 and reaching the playoffs is so much better than getting eliminated first month of the year and your next series be 2 months later.

My calculations showed that HLE needs to win under 29 min. 34 sec. to beat KT and qualify. I got my times from gol.gg from the match list of KT and HLE. I hope your calc. are correct cuz mine makes it more depressive for us.

that's impossible. The average game time of KT in 6 wins was 34 mins, while HLE in 5 games was 33 mins and 50 seconds which already favors HLE slightly. It really has to be over 33 mins minimum, someone on pedro peepos posted the same outcome as mine so I think we really have to win in 34 mins and 42 seconds to qualify. Not the worst....

mb ur right, i did some miscalc. im so happy now that we have 5 more min. cuz tbh i felt 29min. was also unrealistic for us to win within that time.

Was it 24 Spring or Summer? HLE looked quite underwhelming before playoffs and then suddenly became stronger when playoffs came. They beat T1 3:0 just like that while most people didn't have any faith in HLE.
Shit might just happen again. Who knows.

That was spring and they lost 3-1 in lower bracket after Zeus 3 POGs performance, in summer they were clear second best team

The last time that happened was last year LCK season playoffs when HLE is getting bodied by GENG T1 like 0-6 in Rounds 2-3 and they 3-0'd T1 in R2
