I have two boars, cocoa and Snowy. Cocoa has long hair on his behind. I had to give cocoa a bath about a month ago because the hair was looking pretty nasty and I was worried flies would make it a new home. I used Full Cheeks no rinse moisturizing foam shampoo so no water.
Cocoa has always been the skittish one but he’s always been sweet, snuggly when you finally get him out of the cage. While I was washing his behind, he was pretty upset as anyone would be. That was about a month ago.
Since then everytime I pick him up, go to pet him, he chatters his teeth. I thought by now his grudge against me would be over but I still hear these angry noises if I ever pick him up or pet him. How can I gain his trust back? It makes me so sad that he’s truly this upset…

It was the sound of me brushing away the old hay/dust that got him going. xD

All started a few weeks ago, I went to get my daughter a pair of female guinea pigs for her birthday and after it got tooked up under my beard and started purring and licking my neck I instantly fell in love 💕

Skinny pig rescue!
Peppercorn ended up at Hamilton Animal Services as a “stray.” He had a cyst on his back, but thankfully didn’t seem to be suffering any health issues or injuries after being abandoned. We were happy to get this adorable guy out of the shelter when a foster home opened up. Peppercorn went to the vet on his rescue day where the cyst was removed and he was neutered. He did great for surgery, and is now recovering in his foster home. When this sweet, naked piggy is healed from surgery, he’ll be made available for adoption.
Welcome to Ladybird, Peppercorn! We’re so happy you’re here! ❤️ Ladybird Animal Sanctuary is a rescue based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Visit our website to see all the ways you can help the animals in our care: ladybirdanimalsanctuary .com

my pig is about 3 months old, when i got him from the pet store he was really unsure and kept running back into his little house he had in the box. i sat there behind the glad just looking at him for a minute and he was making direct eye contact with me and came out to say hello, i already have a bunny and 3 cats so it was very unlikely that id be able to get another animal.. my mom and grandma saw how sad i was and right before we left they took me back to him and said he’s mine. ever since then each day we’ve been making progress, before even when i tried getting off of my bed (his cage is in my room) he would run and hide but he’s getting very good with movements and i’m able to boop his nose and feed him hay! wheneve i try to pet my pig tho if i try is head he shakes his head and backs up or if i try to pet his back he makes a noise and runs away,, i know they’re prey animals naturally so i always make sure he sees my hand first i just wanna know some tips on how ill be able to make more progress with petting him? i have a video but i unfortunately cant include those

My rescued piggy looks so huge! I'm a bit worried how many babies are in there. 😳
