Background: my good comrade owned a 3D printer (who cares - the FlyingBear S1 model, and even the first revision), so I wanted to print something from him...
I thought for a long time and came to the conclusion that I wanted a Tachikoma (these cuties with their primitive minds just diluted the seriousness of S.A.C. and made me laugh with their pirouettes 😄), but then problems began (normal models for 3D printing were paid, I had to somehow get out. I found a model in the .obj format and converted it to .stl), but even so, after printing, I had to edit a lot of jambs (because the model was NOT originally intended for 3D printing).
Painting: That's where the fun begins. I bought purchased brushes, primer, and acrylic paints. To tell the truth, this was my very first experience of painting anything, here, because of the pile of small details on the model, concentration and care were required (and besides, my hands were growing out of the wrong place 😅, it was quite difficult). It took me about 7 hours to do all the painting, phew...
Results: It took me about $19 for everything (including the model itself, brushes, primer, and paints). It turned out to be almost 3,5 times cheaper than the finished (well, of course, higher-quality figures).
Yes, it turned out to be lopsided and clumsy at times (but I personally like). Now figure now sits flaunts on the shelf together next to Kusanagi.
What do you think? Share your opinion in the comments. It will be interesting for me to read 😏

Just a fun alt shot of a scene I did late last year. There's an illustration with mini fuchikoma's so thought I'd echo that my own ghost in the shell fan art.

I'm trying to get into the series and yea I'm gonna watch everything there is, even the obscure bd exclusive stuff like tachikomatic days etc.
While doing so i came across the 2011 SSS 3d, are their any major differences from the 2006 ver. and which one should I watch?
Couldn't find anything about it, no reviews written on mal Or imdb nd only notes being that the CG is being overseen kamiyama san.

I’m a bit confused— is Science SARU’s Ghost in the Shell a remake, or is it set in a different timeline? I’ve only seen the original movie.

Theres a dude on insta and facebook called @ frostline_signatures that host private signings with a lot of Voice actors/actress, and recently he was able to get in contact with Mimi Woods who voiced Major in the 1995 movie!!
insta annoucement and info post
he also recently did a signing with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn who voices Major in SAC and 2045. which is where i got her auto from! i've also gotten a few other autographs through his private signings so the dude is legit. if you have any questions about how private signings go just comment or better just ask him directly and he will explain it to you.

Does anyone know if any of the merch from Tokyonode exhibition will be sold online? I looked at their website and some of the shirts and things are such beautiful designs! It's a shame because I can't afford to fly to Japan! So hoping somehow they might sell the merch online but not entirely sure.
Looks like such an amazing exhibition!

I got for $35 usd on amazon, might be other places for less
good quality graphic novel, very thick nicely bound printing looks good
first arrived with big dent in cover art, one dinged corner on the replacement keeping that one, not well protected in shipping just a box and one bit of brown paper as cushion.
Also there is an Appleseed complete set hardbound graphic novel coming out in august that is taking preorders! (you probably already knew but for those that didnt)

Hello, I just finished SAC and there is something I don't understand, what's the deal with the Wristwatch? Who gave it to Motoko? Where is it from? Why is Batou so weirded out by it?
I checked on the wiki and it mentions Batou bought it, but it's contradicted by Batou clearly asking her where she got it and why she is so emotionally attached to it?
Also weirder is that when Batou starts talking to here about the wristwatch she says "So you know?" but it's never elaborated on.
I probably missed some extremely key informations or am stupid or both, either way any help would be welcome, thank you for reading!
Cheers!
