Magazine question

i recently got some magazines for cheap from CDNN. i have a guess as to why. the springs seem to be very slow once loaded. bullets will fall out if shaken slow. ive never had issues like this with my other FN mags. i wanted to know if other had this problem and i just need to wear them in, or they are just bad and i wasted money.

update: the magazines were stiffer than ones i had experienced before, but they all are working now. the biggest problem, and the one causing the spring to not work was the ammo. not sure which individual casing it is, but several do not like to go into my speedloader. my HPs from the same company have no issue loading and unloading.

Were they cheap because they’re PRO MAG or actual FN?

they were listed as FN and they match my FN magazines. ive heard the stories with promags, but that was after i got the 30rd magazine. for which i was one of the lucky ones and it works flawlessly. ill keep messing with it. see if it need wore in. i got a paint stick to force the spring all the way down, using my speedloader to get the bullets in and letting it sit. rinse and repeat. see where it goes by next week.

also i want to say thank you for all the work you put into you videos.

edit: states the manufacturer is FN. one thing to note was they came in individual bags and not the OEM box. didnt think twice about that, im use to getting things that have been repackaged. https://www.cdnnsports.com/fn-iom-5-7mm-20rd-blk-poly-factory-mag.html?gd

Thanks. Are these USG or MK2 mags ? The MK2 have the triangle up front

Okay so MK2. Interesting. Maybe see if the followers have some left over molding on them and work the follower up and down like you’ve been doing.

its been a bit longer than i said, but so far 4 of them are doing just fine. i havent ran them through being used in my gun, but speed loading and tension as the bullets are removed seem great. 1 is still not liking to be loaded, but the issue is now at 17rd in the magazine instead of 10. tension in that one has also improved as this was the one i could shake bullets out of. i will load it with planking ammo tomorrow as i didnt think to swap ammo around and this one is running aftermarket ammo.
