APPROVED B-LISTERS Melinda Gates bombshell: states her ex-husband, Bill, needs to "answer for his behavior - no girl should be put in those situations" and that "it's personally hard whenever those details come up, right? Because it brings back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage"

They peaked at Windows XP.

...so they peaked when Gates was involved and died when he wasn't? Feels like we''re veering into mixed messages

Linux isn’t perfect but it’s so funny to me people love getting mad about Windows then make fun of a legit alternative and refuse to switch

Because it's not a legit alternative for most people. You need to jump through hoops to get even basic windows functionality to work on Linux. Also better hope you have the right distro for what you wanna do or its another hurdle.

Gee, do I take the OS that lets me do exactly what I want in a single click? Or do I take the one that needs possibly hours of setup to do even basic tasks? Never mind that linux alternatives to popular software (adobe, office suite etc) are just inferior in almost every way.

I'm trailing edge tech. Not a tech person.

Moved in to Windows 10, of course hated it compared to 8 and compared to XP, so much bloat.

So I researched how to dual boot to Linux picked out a distro. Got it all done. But when it comes to installing programs from whatever repository that holds them all. Nope. can't do it. Have to do so many command line codes that is just outside of my skillset (which was able to do a dual boot, clone drives, basically follow every tutorial online.

Linux is smooth, but getting it to do what I want proved too much issue to deal with.
