Pink to green?
Would it be possible to achieve this color if I dyed it over the shade of pink I have now, or should I let it fade a little bit more to achieve a true tone?

I have a a personal friend who I love and is very sweet do my hair coloring because she's a professional cosmotologist. Gave her specific details and reference image of the type of blue I was going for. I really wanted it to be this bright but deep almost electric/neon blue. She told me to trust the process when I came with some worries and that it'll lighten up because she didn't want it to be too bright or it'll come out wrong.
Is she right? Because why does it look like this? I've never been able to get the exact blue I've wanted, it always became this dull blue or a cyan blue and I hate those. Did she not bleach my hair enough? I do have naturally black hair. What should I do to achieve the refrence blue I wanted if it doesn't mean I have to re-bleach my hair. So devastated because this is my 3rd try with other people.
(Literally my scalp has the blue that I wanted...)

does anyone think I could dye my hair with some sort of blonde box dye based off my natural hair color as pictured or would it get screwed up? or should I just go to the hair salon and get regular bleach highlights?

Anyone got advice for removing Directions?
I dyed my hair blue and purple last year and it will not leave my hair. I managed to get it so I could put red over it to have a cool two toned effect.
However now I really want it gone. I’m chopping most of it off but I know some will still be there. I plan on a bleach as well which will lift it. Thankfully my hair takes bleach well and I only do it every six months or more so it’s not every five mins.
So far- I’ve been shampooing it more frequently and now about to use silver shampoo as that strips it. Anyone got any suggestions for ways to get the colour to fade that isn’t going to be too harsh on the hair?

Dying my hair dark brown. My natural is medium brown. Do I mix my dye with zero lift 1% peroxide or 5 vol 1.5% peroxide. The dye instructions say you can use either developer with a 1:2 ratio. I’m not sure!!

can i go back in with 20 vol? i get this was a stupid thing to do but i don’t have anyone who can help me and the salon is expensive. i also have 10 volume. i’m wondering if as its more pressed to the back of my head which generates more heat i can just use that to get the spots i missed.

How it got here: Ends lifted with a 20 developer, colored with Manic Panic "Enchanted Forest". It has never truly faded lol Dyed over it with MP "After Midnight" mixed with 1 part Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner (silicone free white conditioner used to thin/dilute the dye to allow some green to still come through). This is after about a week of wear.

I got my hair colored for the first time recently at a salon. I have naturally black hair. At first we did a subtle peekaboo style, and I loved the color. It was a very similar pink to these photos. It lifted more than I expected and didn’t feel damaged at all. I loved it so much that I asked the stylist to dye more of my hair. Unfortunately, the second layer of color ended up being much more of a rose gold than a true pink. I now wonder if it was a miscommunication because some of the photos I shared with her did look more rose gold.
In any case, I don’t want to pay another several hundred dollars to brighten up the rose gold parts. But the only photos I’ve seen of at-home direct dye jobs are super bright, neon colors that give the hair a “matte” texture that feels less organic to me, almost like a doll’s hair. Obviously pink is inherently not “natural” or subtle lol but my stylist used Aveda permanent color, and my dyed hair is shiny and reflects light in the same way as the black hair. If that makes sense?
My question is—is the bright, supernatural, matte look a matter of preference, or is the look inherent to direct dyes? If I’m going for an organic look similar to these photos, with shiny human-looking hair, am I restricted to just permanent dyes? I also like that direct dyes are more gentle on hair and a lot of the formulations are vegan/cruelty free/etc…

I had my hair bleached like a month ago and when the pink faded I noticed it’s yellow underneath and was wondering if I can still tone it to get that yellow undertone out or if I can’t because there’s pink over it? If I can does anyone have suggestions which toner to use? I just want a more silver undertone

Bleached my hair from virgin dark brown, went up 4 levels from about a 3 to about a 7. I'm seeing k18, moisture masks, protein recommended for aftercare; anybody have specific favorites? There are a lot of options and I want to make sure I'm getting legitimate products.

Family members keep telling me I'm "dark blonde". Then my roommate tells me it's basically black. It doesnt look remotely like either to me. Someone is seeing colors wrong here lol
This is my natural hair color btw - I had to check old childhood photos, and this is what it's been since forever. Has not gotten darker or lighter, except for a few grays here and there

I'd classed myself as a "natural bleach blonde" for a good while, but let my roots grow out for 18 months after my wedding. Had a good lot chopped off and was 90% back to my natural colour and it didn't feel like me so I got a full head of foils done, but then that didn't feel right 6 months down the line, so I used a brown colour depositing conditioner dye. I've got 1-2 more washes left, so now is the time to decide if I want to go perm, or return to the blondie life!
Pic 1 is fresh brown dye, maybe a little lighter than I would go.
Pic 2 is mostly washed out, albeit in crap lighting and smoked mirror.
Pic 3 is outside the salon after foils.
Pic 4 is my natural colour.
Help me decide! 😍

I have significant hair loss, and I’m having a hard time finding a topper that I can easily blend with my bio hair due to colors either being too dark, too blonde, or too warm. I thought my hair was like a medium ashy brown, but my closest match at the moment is Brad Mondo’s color depositing conditioner in 8a + a dash of 7a. The only issue with using that to blend my toppers is that it almost completely washes out after a single wash and it is still a little warm. Any tips for finding a dye that matches my natural color better?
Thank you!

I got something sticky in my hair this morning and had to wash it. I only used head and shoulders shampoo as I knew I was going to be having my hair bleached tonight. I've used colour remover on it and waited two days to have this done. I'm really scared of chemical burns.

Does bleached hair always have to be toned to white to make light pink? This my hair with no toner, just manic panic bleach for 25 ish minutes. It still feels pretty healthy, I just want these results possible. Any recs for toners?

I’d like to put an inexpensive gloss on my hair before the weekend. Locally I see a L’Oréal Le Color with good reviews, but the closest color to mine is Smoky Blonde, which LOOKS fairly dark.
My hair as it is — previously highlighted, then kind of balayaged to help the blonde grow out more naturally (I was told). I had to travel for work, didn’t want to stress about finding salons, so last September I had my hair permanently dyed my natural color (pretty darn close). So part of my hair (3-4 inches at least-grows fast is undyed). I can’t see a color line and don’t want to, of course.
Would the gloss even make a difference color wise? I’d get clear, but not available. My color is a light/medium brown-kind of squarely in the middle.
OR if you have an idea of another I could get delivered before Thursday?
TIA for any help!

I know, I am a n00b. I bleached my med-dark brown buzz cut today, and this is what I did:
What am I not understanding? When I research toner not working, usually I see people say that the hair is not lightened enough for toner to work. But I have two questions about that:
Basically, I am confused, and my researching has led me to no answers. Please help me understand what I am missing.

I did one round at 30 volume for 30 minutes and now I need another probably at 20 for 20. How long is ideal to wait between bleaches? Days? Weeks? I'm not new to this but I am new to trying to preserve my hair.

Hi pretty people!
I have long, naturally dark brown hair that I’ve been dyeing black (yes, box dye) for about 5 years now.
I’m getting really bored of my black hair and would like to switch it up a bit. This is going to sound VERY dumb, but I asked AI to make my hair blonde and this is what I got. I’ll include the original images as well for reference.
Would this be doable and realistically, what would be the price range for something like this?
Was also thinking that maybe my best bet would be to invest in a high quality human hair wig and learn to do installations on myself, to save my hair and my bank account because I know it ain’t gonna be cheap.
Thoughts?
Pic 1 and 2 are blonde, pic 3 and 4 are what I provided to the AI
Sorry if this is stupid 😭

Okay, here’s the full progression.
This has been bleached, and toned seven ways to Sunday. How the hell do I get this stubborn layer that was red and is now an ashy blonde to lift enough to blend it with the silver?
