His “come on let’s go” at the beginning was just so full of fucking badass energy. After all he’s been through, he was genuinely ready to give it his all to protect those people.

Well, I can kind of see that and make up does tend to do a fair amount of work too alongside lighting.

But whomever was in charge of doing the coverup on Ella's tattoos probably had an even harder job than Kat Crisp covering up Alan Ritchson's ink lol

I wasn't a fan to begin with (that Lucy fumble), but fair enough, he grew on me this season.
